Wow, what a sad awful subject. I've read books about serial rapists/killers, and I've never understood what goes on in their heads to make their actions okay to them. It's just totally beyond even 'light of nature' principles. You captured the scenario well, though; this was a chilling, moving, sadsad poem.

This is wonderful, especially the very last line. It paints pictures of lonliness, gives emotion weight and heft. Sounds vaguely like something from Dave Matthews. In any event, it's incredible.

since i helped with the title and the final touches for this poem, and since it has to do with stuart ransom miller, and since YOU wrote it, there is no way in the world i couldn't love this. it's SO rhett. mahvelous. i'm running out of room in my favorites list and it's all because of you. :P
