![]() ![]() ![]() Had to come read this when I started reading the one with Kurt. I'm glad I did. Xoxo Robin |
![]() ![]() ![]() very interesting plot line. I like Reginald. He seems like the 'father' type. But could he be something more.. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Returning the review! Congratulations for not over-sentimentalizing or over-romanticizing the relationship. That's the number one mistake I see on slash stories on this site, and you've successfully avoided it by driving a wedge between the two main characters. Despite being an intentionally kept boy, Travis didn't come off as unsympathetically weak-willed before his escape, which is also good in my book. I thought Travis had rather an easy escape from Max, even for a short story. I would have liked to have seen a bit more suspense in his escape, since after he hits the park, he's pretty much out of there, despite Travis' search. If you rewrite, I'd recommend lengthening that bit, since it didn't feel as suspenseful as I think you intended it. Some slight proofreading errors throughout (mainly tense shift, one 'cam' instead of 'came') but not enough to distract or really annoy. 'threatened dangerously' seemed slightly overwritten (since a threat is by definition dangerous), but other than that no awkward dialogue tags, either. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love Travis, hehe. Though I think I rather like Reginald even more :D anyways, loved the story. *bows* |
![]() ![]() ![]() awesome work! |
![]() ![]() ![]() :( Poor Travis, what a jerk.. I'm glad he got away. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Neat! Shame you have to break it into two stories like that, tho. Poor Travis. I hope things work out for him, but I guess I won't find out 'till tomorrow... BTW, when people comment on WHAT you wrote instead of HOW it was written, you can take that as a good thing. Because it means we forgot that we were reading a story. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! 30th review. XD; This is a great story. I love one-shots so much, and it was great to watch this unfold, so much quicker than your normal stories, but just as involved. Great, realistic dialogue, great prota- and antagonists. |
![]() ![]() I don't have much to say except that I read it, liked it, and am now reading the continuation. I rather wish I knew more about Max, though. He comes across as somewhat inhuman in his uncaring. Does he feel /anything/ for Travis? Why was he so obsessed with keeping Travis hidden? Did he date anyone on his public face, or was he listed in magazines as the city's most eligible bachelor? |
![]() ![]() ![]() i so luv the linking stories *_* yay! XD |
![]() ![]() ![]() Adding you! TTFN! ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Why did I ever stop reading your work? I must be insane or something. This was absolutly wonderful. I'm glad he got away from the idiot. Max is like my ex-boyfriend, the kind of person who belongs to be jail but isn't. Ah well, keep up the wonderful work and I promise to read more of your stories. |
![]() ![]() ![]() *sobs* Good for him! Travis deserves to be happy! I loved this story! *sniffle* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh. My. GOD! That was AMAZING! I love how you made the whole story come together; I like the confrontation at the end where Travis stays firm (go Travis!) and how Reginald saves him from Max. GREAT JOB! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Sweet! I wonder why I always passed this story over? ~.* |
