Wonderful poem - evokes powerful feelings. Makes you "feel" the thunderstorm as a kid would (did), and relate it to deeper issues...and the writing is great. I like to provide criticism as well to help people improve, but don't have any for you :-)(Except - should there be another word at the end of the second to last line?)
