The story had something that amazed me; realism. The way all the characters reacted to each other as if they had their own personalities and depth. Most authors manipulate the characters to fit the story. Your plot, events, climax, etc all matched your characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your piece. I'm now working my way to your other stories.

I know, I'm randomly reviewing. (because I randomly reread your stories when I feel like it. I'm a serial rereader in general.) Some things I've noticed this time around:

"But that doesn't mean I don¡t care." I don't know what happened, maybe FP weird technicalities? Just thought I'd let you know.

Also, Chapter (seven? I think?) is called Still Water, and I was wondering if that's how you got the title for the Gricky (Nickant?) story, or if it's just coincidence.

Oh and-just because you could make this your "signature," have a Brazilian steakhouse appearance in SW! and AWM! Ahaha. Just kidding.

i love this story. i love most of your stories. i say most because i havent read all of em. i love quentin. i love dominic. its easy to fall in love with your characters, you're a talented writer. keep the great stories comin! 0)

I tried reading this months ago, but never really got into it. And then I was really bored and was surfing through Fictionpress when I thought, hey! let's go see if that one author who wrote about the step siblings has anything interesting up! When I finally found you, I was thinking that maybe there was nothing to read when I saw this story. I figured I would give it another try, see if I could finally get into it. It is now 2:30 in the morning and my mom is going to be pissed if she finds out I'm still on the computer, but you know what? It was totally worth it!

Have you considered getting published? This was really, really good. I would definitely pay money for this. Luckily I don't have to, but seriously, it's amazing. It's one of those stories that just makes you stop and think, you know? At least, it made me stop and think.

But anyway, what I'm trying to say is that this is really good and I am once again amazed at your writing skills. I read in a note you had at the end of one of the chapters how you got your skill. I admire your writing and what you did to be able to do this. People tell me I have a natural talent at writing and I think that they are full of crap. I know I have lots of room to improve and now I know exactly what I'm going to do to do exactly that: pay more attention in my English class. And maybe buy some books that will help me.

I think this review is long enough. Sorry if it was too long and annoying, I just can't stop myself once I get going. But thank you for such a wonderful story. And I can't wait for more from Still Waters. You're doing an amazing job on that too.

gah! 10/10...i love pretty much all ur stories soo..yep :D it was rly good and well a little predictable but i liked it a lot...dominic's my favorite...lol i also liked sharlotte too just cuz :]

The reason I tackled this story last out of your completed chaptered stories is, actually, because the summary had, for some reason, given me a picture of extreme drama which I thought I could not handle. And yes, there were scenes that were quite appropriately dramatic and where I could really feel the pain of the characters resonating with me. But I love that you ended it this way-the beginning of the Epilogue scared me, because I took the whole they're-still-not-sitting-together-or-hanging-out as awkward-unresolved-relationship, but the ending satisfied me. It's realistic, but it's positive.

I really like all of these characters, and I like that we got to see everyone's perspective through the tapes. I really really love Dominic. He (like Grant-though more Grant) is the kind of guy I would most want to end up with. And I like Jas too-I felt that she was more relatable to me than some of your other characters, not because your other characters were 2D, but because I can be kind of wimpy sometimes and Jas, while awesome, had weaknesses I could identify with.

Riona and Bishop's story was absolutely heartbreaking. I just kept thinking: from Riona's point of view, it means her boyfriend, whom she loved, dumped her because he thought she cheated on him when she was actually assaulted; from Bishop's point of view, realizing that he had pushed Riona, whom he loved, when she was already down.

Sharlotte and Doyle really seem to fit. Sharlotte being so composed, Doyle being extraordinarily observant-yes.

And I liked Vincent, and the interaction between the cousins.

This was definitely a story that made me think a lot, and wow. It was heavy duty, but I still really liked it. I challenge you to write a story I won't end up liking, haha. ;P Just kidding.

I'm still debating about tackling your one-shots, but I'll probably get to them eventually.

This was an interesting chapter, it was full of information. All in all I loved it, as well as your other stories!

This is going in exactly the direction I'd hoped! I like Jas, she reminds me a little of myself.
