Reviews for sailor song
acccountkiller chapter 1 . 1/7/2006
Oh my god...wow...I am so mind-blown! When I started reading this, I was just focusing on the story normally, and then it completely entranced me and pulled me in...it's so long, but perfect...not a bit boring or hard to follow...you describe so many things, different emotions actually, but the three last stanzas are so beautiful! So full of hope and love and the description of the sailor is enchanting, and...ah, I don't know what I'm saying anymore, I was shocked by the goodness of this! It doesn't entirely come across as a love poem, it seems so dedicated to the sea and...I'll shut up. It's fantastic. *faves list* Love, Mia

PS. Thanks a lot for your kind reviews, and especially the advice on free verse, it's very helpful (I was aware that Cholera lacked consistency...the various verses were not very connected, you helped with that, I thank you very much)

oh. oh, wow. simply amazing: beautiful, heartbreakingly lovely, diction and imagery and all! & the length is irrelevant-it's brilliant as it is. i love this.

i'm going to assume that you are referring literally to a sailor's adventure at sea, whether it be in a book or a real-life experience. similarly, you could be referring to it metaphorically, as in a paradisiacal place or a dream. just my interpretation but i could be wrong. thanks for sharing and keep writing!

p.s. God loves you and so do I!
