I don't know if you still read reviews, it's been 16 years since you first posted this after all, but this line: "What moon was this fellow orbiting?" is the best line I've read since Madame Bovary. It cracked me up so good.

Best story I've have read so far, even though I always Skip Janie talks but this story make my lockdown interesting, thank you very much...

It is an story which makes me to read without taking break. But made me to think also. I expected something different in end. Like how Katrina was not much of bitch, and how much she loved her boyfriend, I kind of expected that she end up being with Rafe again. Somehow Janie seems to be kind of oscillating between two different decisions at that time after consoling Katrina. Her morale part wants Katrina to be with Rafe, but her own attraction towards Rafe beats it. That doesn't seem to be nice or good end in my eyes. Don't like the ending after reading the Katrina opening up to Janie. That kind of seems cruel. Suddenly Katrina got all the points in that scene.

You have no idea what this story means to me. I adore this awesome nugget of Jane. I remember first reading this story years ago, but I love it so much that I come back to reread it time and time again along with Miss Haps’ “Girls, Boys, and Other Enigmas.” The young lady in this story is a lot like Jane; she is considered weird by her classmates but that doesn’t faze her. Oh and her boo is a looker as well, like Rafe. I see that you haven’t been active for a while and we readers understand that you have a life outside of writing. That incident involving some butthole stealing your story and publishing it probably didn’t help either, but I believe it was reported and the plagiarizer’s ‘story’ was removed from Amazon. I wish you the best of luck and if you ever write a story or two again, whether on FictionPress or another writing platform, I would love to read it. (But if you do plan on writing with another platform, please let us know on here so we can find you). Thank you again.

This was such a great story - I'm sorry to hear about your experience with that guy stealing your work. :(

With an entirely unique lead female, I was drawn in immediately and the character growth kept me hanging on. The jokes were funny and the relationship was adorable. I love that Janie was an entirely free spirit. I love that she saw Katrina as more than a two dimensional bad guy. It's such a cute story - and if you decide to publish - PLEASE add a chapter stating so!

Although I couldn’t comprehend almost half of the smartness, this story is hilarious and smoothly written.

This has got to be the craziest and most hilarious story out there! I loved your style of writing, the characters - like who can't love Jane and Rafe - the plot and pretty much each and every word. The science jokes and Jane's quirks made me smile and laugh like a lunatic. I wish there was an epilogue though. May that loser that had plagiarized go down.
