I like the way it flows. Intriguing, the way you describe the burning. Nice images there, but what strikes me most is all the burning of the josticks.

haha at first i didn't get the cement thing.
i don't do all that do you lol. but i like burning the uh, paper money. yup i like folding them into weird things and then throwing them into the fire haha.

i live in the United States. the majority of people here don't observe the moon/autumn festival, but we're from China - hence the celebration.

singaporean superstition summed up in a beautiful poem with oh-so-true, & oh-so-haunting imagery that captures THE ESSENCE of the hungry ghost festival.
on another note, DID YOU GET INSPIRATION FROM THE MAID FOR THIS. i watched that during the seventh month, being an ass, & got scared out of my wits for days, having to carry a torchlight around. (:
