I love this story.

That's all I have to say.
Lami chapter 33 . 5/8/2008
Hello. I hate reviewing (and mostly I'm doing it because it's a quick way to log in, so I can add your story to 'Update Alert':) Forgive me if I can't express amything of worth. I like your story, and your writing style. No real criticism, accepting the fact that the plot has me a little depressed just now.

I do appriciate all the drama though.

Here's hoping for a happy ending. I'm sure you can swing it, despite Caspians' short-comings.. (heh, so strange to be mad a fictional character! Credit goes to your amazing writing)

Sara Nayde chapter 10 . 4/20/2008
i just began reading you know what i mean today (as in about 2 hours ago) and i'm already on chapter 9. actually, that's kinda a lie, i started it several months ago and bookmarked it and it only resurfaced today when i was cleaning out my computer. i was gonna wait until the end to review, but all your adorable "please review" messages got the better of me. okay, bla bla bla me. anyway...

holy shit! i love it! sorry. but yeah, i was upset to see that it was discontinued. i had a brief thought of not finishing the story go through my mind, which was quickly met by the steel-toe boot of my knowing that i had over twenty chapters left of this stuff. so what if i'll never know how it ends! all the better to dream with, my dear.

yeah, so great stuff. wish it could be finished, but i'll survive if it isn't.
Stormy Whether chapter 33 . 1/21/2008
Okay, I've just spent waking hours reading this. That means that this story is a, addictive, and b, more than just a filler in the pages of my insomnia. To you who doesn't live in my brain and thinks that she's getting a review from some psycho (we won't detail whether I am or not), it means that it was a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very... you get the point, good story.

First of all I'd like to commend you on making a disability real. I know how hard that is (under slightly different circumstances). I mean, wow, you really thought everything out. There's only one time in the hearing where River says something like, 'Yes Aunt Emily.' It threw me for a loop because it just didn't seem like it was possible and kinda, I don't know... Anyway! You did an excellent job. In general, you made the characters seem very real (but that may be because they were based on real people), nonetheless, they are portrayed well on paper- erm, computer.

The plot in this thing is... for lack of a better word, impressive. Seriously it's the sweetest fucking thing I've ever read, and the saddest fucking thing I've ever read. The humor is so well placed that it has me laughing more than a crack-fic just from the comic relief. It's one of the most impressive stories I've ever read, published and non-published.

This would be the place where I'd offer my criticism, but really, I have none to offer. Just a complaint, which would be the review replies at the bottom. You can individually reply to each review by clicking the 'reply' button underneath each person's name. Still, lovely.

Now, continue this story before I hunt down your ass with a loaded gun, with the safety clicked off, and force you to at least finish the story. Seriously, this is a totally fucking awesome story, and why you discontinued it is beyond a poor hopeless reader like me.

Please, PLEASE! P.L.E.A.S.E. CONTINUE THIS STORY! I wanna know how everything plays out. I hope you get this review and decided to continue (although this won't be the deciding factor more than likely).

My wishes for the best!

Love,

p0!s0n
blubber chapter 18 . 1/1/2008
hello you,

first of all Id like to tell you that its ure fault that I have been in fron of my pc for like 4 hours solid but oh my god. Theres not much more to say to that I love your story, the way you write it just truly makes people think they are involved, not involved in a actually involved kinda way but just feel like they are there present with River and Caspian (by the way what a wonderful name! never heard that before! seriously. sorry Im from germany so we have different names here like really german names .. its kinda sad :) ) And I loved the fact that you integrated a german word! tada spiel! loved it. And I guess I can speak for all germans now that I was a tiny little bit proud to be part of your story! which I know im not but let me dream right? And i do know you wrote this story like 3 years ago and Im not even sure if ure going to get this review but I thought I d give it a try. youd probably finished uni by now .. god time .. anyway im making no sense! so thank you for this jewell! and yes this story makes you say out loud stuff (eventhough Im sitting at home alone) which is kinda embaressing but I do that alot ... you probably think Im really weird now so im going to stop now! anyway you are an amazing write and keep it up! x
overlordpotatoe chapter 33 . 11/25/2007
Well this kinda just... ended. What happened?
overlordpotatoe chapter 28 . 11/24/2007
Okay, yep, I was right, a zillion people already caught it. But hey, I was still right, and isn't that what really matters?
overlordpotatoe chapter 27 . 11/24/2007
“Yes, Aunt Emily,” he said, dully, and followed her out. - I read over that a few times, but the only way I can find to interpret it as is River talking.
overlordpotatoe chapter 23 . 11/23/2007
There was a girl in my year who skipped two or three grades... anyway, she ended up being something like 15 when she went to university. It was pretty insane.
overlordpotatoe chapter 19 . 11/23/2007
'Caspian knocked on the guest room door. There was no answer.'

I'm kind of curious as to how he could have responded, but I suppose he could have gotten up and opened the door or something.
overlordpotatoe chapter 14 . 11/22/2007
You mentioned being from Australia, and a drought. I am also from Australian drought-lands. Brisbane, to be precise.
overlordpotatoe chapter 13 . 11/22/2007
I wish my last name was Oliphant... it amuses me.
