This was a very well written story. Right off the bat I was bothered by the fact that it is my ex boyfriend's birthday: May 22. Forget that though. Uh, you did a good job. It was very original, well-rounded, the main characters sober but charming. The plot may have been about her birthday and her leaving, but you were good at not making it about that at all. It was really about her leaving and her best friend that she loved. This was very memorable, and sad, even though it had a happy ending. You can just see that the bond between them isn't going away, even when they do. :D

Such a wonderfully bittersweet ending, too. It's really subtle in the way it shows their relationship. God, I think this is the first time I've actually wanted a cheesy corny ending to happen :(

Ok so this is a great piece! Apart from a few punctuation problems with your dialogue (don't worry about it though, I had the exact same problem until I got to uni and started actually studying creative writing) this piece has a great voice, description, use of italics, everything! I love it, well done!

I loved the story but i wish it had a better ending. I got so into ith and then it was a lil bit of a let down. but great story all n all.

::hugs the story:: O, I like this one. . It's not often I dive into a best friends gone romance story, but I very glad I did this time. It's sweet and I feel like I can relate. Things were similar between my fiancee and I for a while. I feel like I can actually sense the tension between them and it gives my stomach butterflies. I *do* hope you continue. Wonderful grammar and sentence structure, by the way. Can't wait for the next chapter!
