Hi, new reader here!

I just happened to have stumbled onto this story and I can tell right now, I am HOOKED! I just absolutely love Patrick's personality. And it's so refreshing to actually read from a guy's point of view that is written by an actual guy.

I'm going to go onto the next chapter. Hopefully, that will be just as good as this chapter.

Hey, new reader here :)

This is the first time that im reading a story on fictionpress written by a guy and I have to say you're doing an amazing job! It is a refreshing change to read a story from a guys point of view that doesn't come off as too feminine because it of being written by a girl :/
This is a great story because it keeps you guessing in a way.. I'm not too sure how to explain it very well but by reading this story I've learned to stop taking things as face value and look further than the surface. The way Mari and Pat interact really confused me at first but after a few chapters I got the gist of it and I've got to say.. Their perspectives on things such as the social structure of high school is quite interesting.
I'm not sure if its just wishful thinking on my part but this chapter gave me 'Mari likes Pat' vibes.. I'm sure it isn't as simple as that but putting their rivalry aside I think that they would make a killer couple. I have random moments where I try to analyse certain things so I keep asking myself 'why are they playing this game?'

Okay I'm going on to read chapter 18 now because I'm amped to see what happens :) one of the reasons that this story is really great is because its unpredictable (**,) so surprise us in chapter 19 :D

Hey! I just stumbled across this story and I love it so far!
Unfortunately, and as much as I don't want to, I think I am going to have to stop while I'm ahead seeing as it looks like the story will not be completed. There are not a lot of good stories written in a male POV and it's really too bad this one is incomplete. Being a guy who don't mind reading romance, this was an absolute gem, which I might sadly have to let go before I get absolutely obsessed by it.

Well, I'm hooked. But you haven't finished this story, and you haven't updated for years. So instead of sinking into the story further, I'll stop now. What a fuck-you moment... HAHAHA. I hope to stumble across this in the future, hopefully you've finished this by then.

I love this story, and I wish you would finish it. Even if it was updated four years ago... You usually don't see a story from the guy's point of view, so it is nice change :) (plus the sexual tension is to die for)

I recently got hooked back into reading stories on Fictionpress and wow, it was a bad idea to start reading your story just before going to bed as I couldn't stop reading! Its actually rare for me to find a romance story written from a guy's POV that is entertaining and well written, and not super cliched. Your writing style is refreshing and the characters aren't perfect - which makes them more realistic and endearing (I love Hikari particularly). Patrick is so sarcastic and whitty and manipulative - yet his arrogance is appealing (although I would be really annoyed with him in real life). Its unfortunate that the story of Pat and Mari likely won't be finished but us readers will just have to visualize our own perfect ending :) Thanks for sharing and it really was an awesome and fun read.

First chapter and I'm utterly hooked. I hope you're planning on finishing this story. Patrick is the most awesome nerd/geek/whatever I have ever read in my life.

I dying to know what's going to happen next between Marielle and Patrick. I think Marielle is starting to like Patrick. Hopefully though, because I really do want to see them end up together.

gah my disappoint levels are about five thousand billion right now SOLELY because you have not updated since 2008 and i got hooked on reading this :( anyway, i (maybe unlike others, i don't know) actually like marielle better than hikari, not in a personality sense but more relationship wise for patrick. i wish you would finish so i wouldn't be left on the edge of a cliff, but i guess i can make up what the ending would have been (like a choose your own adventure)!

Just wondering if theres a chance that the geek guy will fall for the dumb but pretty girl? I like melaine in the first chapter. She's dumb and annoying but maybe she's best character for a different story i think?

Well it's clear that this is unlikely to be updated at any point soon, I just wanted to say that I love this story. It's from the often missing perspective of the guy, and it's an interesting take on the cheerleader/nerd cliche, but Pat and Marielle are both well-developed, multi-faceted characters with a surprising amount of chemistry. As much rooting potential as they have, it's clear that the ending won't be a one-note happily ever after.

There had better be more!
