"we struggle through the little deaths." i can relate to that so much at this point in time. so poignant.
i liked this. the consious stream is thrown at you in the same way the headlamps and traffic looms in the poem. the melancholy side of the new year is conveyed marvellously. it's deliciously derisive and cynical.

again, i love the little details in this, like the names of the towns and states and stuff. i love the line 'spraying brown snow onto my windshield' - it really builds a picture in my mind. great work!

depressing but filled with strong emotion 'have to dig our own graves' - i loved that line. 'crushed it like a portent' - strong words. you wrote this very well.
