Love this style of writing as well as the plot. Can't wait to read more, especially Marc's reaction when his partner confesses to reading the notebook.

Anxiously waiting for the next chapter.

So I figured I would write a long review with the last chapter versus writing a review each chapter. At this point I feel like Ryan finding the notebook between the sheets and reading Marc's deepest secrets was a bit of violation. I mean he obviously kept this from Ryan for reasons. Perhaps he wa afraid of Ryan's judgement about his past relationships and that the one with Leo was the only one he wasn't ashamed by. Marc had morphed from having careless and loveless one night stands to wanting to be in a committed relationship and experience love with someone. I think Marc sort of kept this journal of his all these years as a reminder of all the painful relationships he endured until he found what he needed and wanted; Ryan.

I believe that if Ryan continues to snoop through Marc's old notebook, he's going to lose a level of trust with his lover that could jeopardize his relationship. In a way its good and bad that hes reading the notebook. It gives him an insight of the Marc he's missing. If you continue this story I would look forward to the moment of truth when Ryan finds the courage to tell Marc everything that he's discovered and hopefully their relationship would grow closer than apart.

I really enjoyed this story. Its nothing like the others you've written. For some reason this one has drawn me in in another level that I can't really explain. I wish you would continue this story because it saddens me that you have it on temporary hiatus. I'm quite curious on where this story will go. I wonder if Marc would be upset that Ryan went snooping or break down into joyful tears that Ryan has finally figured out all his past relationships and just couldn't find the time or will to tell him everything. Ryan and Marc seem so connected and in love with each other that Marc's secrets won't diminish their relationship.

Well, this... is very different from your other story, 'Love Bites', but that is not a necessarily bad thing. If you want my honest opinion, this story and its companion piece ['Between the Pages'] are more 'raw' in emotion. It's not a necessarily bad thing, though. You characters here, Marc and Ryan, are developing characters that are on their way to a realization that might change their relationship. That's how I perceive it as, anyway. Marc, based on the entries to the notebook, has been through many 'failures' [in Ryan's own words, gimme props for that :], and looks like the type who needs to love someone who loves him back, because he also needs love. Ryan, on the other hand, looks like the kind of guy who is pretty capable, but needs love. If their relationship broke, Marc [and NOT Ryan] might be the more 'broken' one out of this, my reason being that he has searched everywhere for some sort of love, and that none of his past relationships seemed 'right'. Your writing style is more different in this one, as it has more substance when it comes to emotions [of the characters], rather than the relationship of the characters as its main focus. I fell in love with your characters again, but this time, it seems like they need a little hug. :) Marc's gone through so much, and Ryan is going through a lot. This story is beautiful in its own right, I must say, and though incomplete, this story is unforgettable.

I like the technique of how this was written, too, with two points-of-view, and a past worth archiving in that notebook. Ryan shouldn't feel depressed, though, after he finds out what Marc really feels. It would be so sweet to have this end so happily, with both parties realizing the truth.

Well, I was talking as though the characters were real, and they WERE real-real enough to feel the same emotions, real enough to feel sad for, and real enough to want a happy ending for.

I hope you would start writing soon, even though it's a hassle[?]. This story is worth a closure, and with the way you wrote things down by far, I'm confident that you'll end this wonderfully.

I completely love this story! I know I didn't review until now, but I was addicted. I had to read it all! I can't wait for the next chapter! Keep up the awesome work!

Wow I liked that fic. I think I can understand Ryan feeling a little betrayed that Marc never mentioned his past relationships. Especially the three year one, which is on a far bigger scale compared to those others who lasted regularly just a year or were one night stands altogether. On the other hand I can't help that that book was stragetically placed exactly there so that Ryan has to find it someday. Maybe Marc was too scared to tell him of those earlier relationships face to face but still wants him to know about them and this is his way of going about. Because of that reason the book is written "like he's speaking" in a straight language without those "poetic manners" he's fond of in his other works. Well I hope I'm right, otherwise I would, as Ryan, think all the time about when he feels the need to sabotage the relationship again would come.

I hope you understand my jumbled english. I'm now going to read your companionfic and wait for the next update. ;)

Your story is really good. The storyline is not relatively new, but your way of presenting it makes it unique, different from the others which really attracts attention. I like it.

I am able to relate to Ryan with the melancholic atmosphere you created in the story with the uneasiness Ryan feels. However, I find that as the story goes on, after the first few chapters, it kind of gets a little long winded and , going on and on about the different 'failed' boyfriends one after the other with the occasional insecurity Ryan feels. I know the story is about that but I find that it needs a little twist here and there to sustain a climax or you could elaborate more on some of the accounts with the boyfriends so it wouldn't be so brief and the story wouldn't the same thing over and over again. Like for an example, for us readers to get to know the thought 'real thing' in person by adding direct speech in to make it more personal. Since it is Marc's thoughts and past, there is sure to be some recollection of the words said by the once special someone.

Your story seems to be more of a third person's perspective written than first and I feel that with the constant changing of narrator, the mood just cuts and and when it changes back it have to build itself up again. You might want to consider putting Ryan's thoughts together at the end, so the paragraphs flows from one another.

how come you haven't finished this story? I really like it. I'd have really wanted to read about Marc's perspective of his relationship with his current boyfriend. How old is Marc anyways, he seems to have accumuated a lot of relationships, but maybe few lasted as much as with Bransen.
