![]() ![]() just a bit of constructive criticisms, i cant tell how much time has lapsed since the begining of the story, the first time they mentioned nowing each other for more than a few months i was surprised and at this point they could know each other for 2 yrs or a decade id have no idea. also davids awareness of his love comes as a surprse all the times we got a david narrated part we got the impression that david liked philip but wasnt really aware of it himself i mean just in the last chapter where philiip was eloping with katie he was confused by his hurt feelings towards the fake elopement. also philip saying my dear at the end of every single sentence was hella anoying and im glad hes not doing that anymore if u ever edit it id advice u to switch things up a bit with some my lady's to katie and idk sweetheart, my darling ect. |
![]() ![]() ![]() i loved this story! sorry for not reviewing up until now, but i'm dreadfully guilty of always picking finished stories and running through them with no regard at all to my education... hey ho! philip and david are wonderful, and i'm so glad they got a happy ending and katie chilled her grill! philip's servants were pretty damn cool as well. one of my fave chapters was the big ol' love confession (of course) because i'm a sucker for romance, and i really enjoyed it all, i can't think right now, my brain's all "wuggabugga story wos gud!" eloquent. and that bit you put at the end of one of the chapters, about religion and happy endings - i'm rambling like a nomad here, but maybe you'll know what i'm blathering on about! basically, i really like this, in case you hadn't grasped that! ace story, well done :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hi there! I don't know if you're still subsrcribed to reviews for this, and I don't know if you remember me being a loyal reviewer once upon a time, once I found it but, anyway... A couple days ago I was seized by a sudden compulsion to read this story again, and have been going through it bit by bit in my spare time, and as it is I'm not even half way yet! It's amazing all the little details I'd forgotten but the main plot I hadn't. It's even more amazing that it's been six years since you published it! I have to say, as I've gone through the chapters I can see your writing improving - I can only imagine what your writing must be like now. And I am once again completely invested in the characters. Last night I worked the night duty at my work and every hour or so I would remember that I was coming home to read some more of this (probably how I'll spend most of today!) I've also been reading your authors notes as I've gone along, and even now, when we're both so much older (and therefore more mature) the story is remarkably good - very dark and heavy in places, but light hearted. Not too soap-opera-ish like angst and mental health sotrylines can get either. I am really enjoying myself, reading it! I totally love slash stories, even though I didn't read or write any for about two years. Now that I've gone back to them it feels like part of my life has been restored, and I'm so so glad I still had this story on my favourites. I'm sure there were actual, specific points I wanted to make on each chapter and little nuances and what not, but I'm too tired to remember them! Suffice it to say that you may have been in high school when you wrote it, and I may have been in high school when I first read it, but it's still fantastic. And each chapter is an improvement in plot development, writing style and punctuation, hehe! Oh, and by the way, not too long ago I re-read another story of yours, 'Good Girls', and was going to review to that one then to tell you pretty much the same fan girl-y rave-y-ness type of thing as here, but stupid fiction site only allows one review per chapter, and I'd already reviewed all of them as you posted them! Okay, enough silly nonsensical raving - I continue with the story now. :) |
![]() ![]() Aw that was wonderful, spectacular, mesmerising! haha I never have liked middle english stories... maybe it's having to read Jane Austen at school but this! I enjoyed this! Legend of Emeralds was for me a great mix of balances hurt and comfort, forbidden love, betray, acceptance, and angst. You weaved it so beautifully that I actually read this entire story in one sitting. I will be looking at your other works :D |
![]() ![]() This was a highly enjoyable story! I enjoyed the plot and your characters were engaging and interesting to read about:) Well done! |
![]() ![]() ![]() A sweet tale of friendship and love. Lovely characters and emotion. The only thing that confuses me is time. Apparently, it's passing much quicker than I realize and although I don't feel as if I've missed much, I feel like I missed something if so many months (years?) have gone by in the blink of an eye. Other than that, I think the Emerald is fantastic and a super sweet symbol throughout the story. |
![]() ![]() I absolutely love your writing style but I plain can't read it anymore. I completely canNOT STAND philip (not a cap. mistake). What right does he have looking through private papers AND thinks he 'has a right to know'... He isn't a very loyal or noble friend. I mean I'd understand if he's an enemy trying to get dirt on David but he is supposedly a FRIEND. Sorry about the rant but I do love your writing and will happily checkout your other stories. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm reviewing cuz I adore this story, but cuz I'm reading on my itouch, don't expect more! LOL my fingers are hurting. Anyway, it's cute how David is so... Mature? I dunno. But phillip brings out a different side of him. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh! I like it, alot(: The characters are amazingly well written! :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just finished your story, and enjoyed it very much. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Cutest thing ever! I love it. Slow at first, but then it got really nice. I absolutely adore Philip and David. Much, much love and adoration. |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh this was delightful! |
![]() ![]() ![]() You know, I was planning on making this a studious, work-filled evening when I found this lovely gem of a story. Okay, so some parts were a wee bit rushed, but I liked how you made it more like scenes from their lives together as opposed to every-chapter-follows-the-next, yawn-yawn-yawn. The only critique I have to make is when you make references to sexual preference, which I'm fairly certain is only a 20th-century concept. |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh my... I love this story...very much ! it's one of my favorite...'coz im a certified YAOI lover...! great job ! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hah. A few parts are ridiculously dramatic, but it's a really cute and witty story anyway. |
