The rhymes are simple but in this case it's not a bad thing- it doesn't feel like forced rhymes. Each sentence has its meaning and place, and not just that words are twisted around to make space for the next rhyme. I like the rhythm of the poem as well. It's stuff like this that I can see as music.

The message of the poem is also lovely, once again bringing out the "simple" qualities of it with real meaning behind it. I think that may be why I like it so much.
