| emeraude-irlandais chapter 1 . 3/23/2006
You were right! I adore this, it's such a fresh take on an incredibly trite subject. It speaks what I've often thought, that cutting is a trend, like peasant blouses or ponchos. I like the last line, but there's no transition from the second stanza to the third, it's completely abrupt. I saw the whole poem as a gossiping whisper, filled with glee at having something more stylish than the others, and then it just switches to literal language, with no metaphors to soften it. It's good all the same, just mentioning. Lovingly decrepit! In a good way. :)Bella

Oh, very nice.
| Faithless Juliet chapter 1 . 3/3/2006
I like the cultural influences that you present in this; the idea that beauty is always fashionable yet always the faces behind it are hurting, that really is the truth of it, the only people who are appsolutly happy are the ones who are on drugs.
It does seem that pain is the must have for every season - baggage is the new handbag; bullshit is new heal. Keep up the good work.
