I totally agree. Nothing lasts forever. Sometimes, I just want to freeze things so I can cherish that moment a little longer, so that I can remember that feeling. But it all goes away unless I write it down or make a mental note of it. I find myself looking forward to the eighth grade dance this year just because I want this one guy to ask me. I can't wait, but I can't just skip all those days inbetween. Being a kid doesn't last forever, and I don't want to look back on it and say, "I wish I had been more of a kid when I could. Now look at me. I'm forty and still live at my mom's."
