Now, on to your poem: It's beautiful, particularly the opening stanza(?); it conveys a profoundly deep connection in a beautiful way. The second and third underline the connection, while emphasising distance - the missing immediacy of the connection is lamented perfectly ("Among a barren garden"), but the "palms reaching skyward" reflect a beautiful optimism all the same. A beautiful, powerful poem, excellently written.
