Haha I feel the same way about the anger thingoid. My way of getting angry at someone is giving them the silent treatment, but the problem is, it only goes on for 5 minutes before I get bored and start talking to them again. And in that time they haven’t even noticed I wasn’t talking to them so... meh.

LOL I fantasize too, but with much less imagination.

About the embarrassment thing, I beg to differ. My friend once tried whacking me on the arm but when I tried dodging it I just fell backwards, and EVERYONE stared and half the crowd erupted into raucous laughter... EVEN WHEN I tried getting up with dignity.

I love this story! Mimi is a good character, and she's so... interesting. Seth is sweet, somehow, and I can't help but love him for reasons unknown. Robin is sort of cool.

your story is so unbelievably sensitive. it has me choking up all the time...and in the beginning, i didn't think it could because it started with the bit on fairy tales but right now i really love it. btw, i've read all 11 of your chapters. i'm going back to the these earlier chapters to study Seth. yes, i like him and the story and the way things are turning out that much. it's like real life but it's so beautifully soft and unhurried and meaningful and age-appropriate (yeah, i know i sound strange saying that, but it's true!) and startlingly passionate! the deep moments - the passion - really jump and attack you when they emerge from this soft, soft quiet normal story. it's not the kind of passion that i would describe as being only faciliated by chemistry or lust; it's another kind of brilliance.

that's what separates this story from practically all the other romances i've read on fictionpress. I'm really stunned. I'll admit I thought this was going to be such a cliche - the writing style, the setting (highschool...), everything - it all pointed to that in the beginning. However, surely but slowly, this non-cliched beauty of a plot emerges. Argh. A line that I love from this chapter:

"I can feel the force of his personality sort of sizzling the air like bacon."

Eek! I love ALL the descriptions of Seth's personality. The shenanigans of the funeral actually made me laugh out loud! Yes, never fear, your story is still very much in the humor genre...

Okay, Pixy-dizzy, what i really want to do is thank you for writing this. it's really been making me think almost obsessively about love and people and how it works and occurs and unfurls...

i look forward to the 12th chapter. :)

so I reviewed your like, 3rd chapter a really long time ago and then my dad blocked fictionpress so I could focus on my studies and now I'm in a southern island off China and haha, my dad isn't here and I've graduated hs. *_*

it's going to be seth, isn't it. I kind of feel bad for robin roe, becase he does try, he just isn't seth. the part where he says seth helped him with the notes kind of killed me. ahh, she's going to find out that actually seth changed them, or wrote the best parts or something.

Seth's 'give me something shiny to entertain myself' line totally sounded like he was becoming a woman creature like kevin. Also I still find beauty in this story, not only in mimi but what others think about her. I also like mimi's line about aging gracefully. I like that this story is so introspective and intricate and has small things because it's refreshing to read about a character through her/his thoughts. I only brought two books with me and one is a cookbook and the other lirael, which is awesome but I can only read it so many times.

I swore it was going to be Creepy Colin! Lol, I like that it's Robin Roe, it gives her the chance to wonder if the "perfect cliche" was what she really wanted after all. Awesome chapter, and I continue to be awed by your way with language...It's really poetic and dreamy, :). looking forward to the next chapter!

God, your writing is so genuinely gorgeous and perceptive and human and your characters are so genuinely deep and lovely and human and you seem so genuine and human that it hurts like something beautiful. JEEZ.

Girl, this so many different kinds of brilliant that I just don't have the words to tell you how much I like it. I even read this listening to the sound of settling (LOVE death cab) and it fit perfectly. I never thought in a million years that the note-reader would be revealed so early, or that Mimi getting a boyfriend would be the catalyst for conflict rather than the resolution of the story. But I like it this way. I'm really REALLY interested to see how her illusions about Robin Roe are going to be shattered. Yes, that's right, I'm going to make that prediction right now. First of all both myself and Mimi, can't stop calling Robin, Robin Roe, which I feel is symbolic of how Robin Roe is more like, this concentration of perfection according to Mimi, and I dunno... her getting with Robin Roe is making me feel, well dubious. Haha. Or like ominous. I'm getting this shrieking voice in my head going NO NO NO THIS IS SO WRONG MIMI AND I DONT KNOW WHY BUT STOP NOW! Also, Mimi must end up with seth. I also like how both the boys are so different to the heroes you normally see on this site. I can't put my finger on what it is. But all these characters feel so freaking real to me its insane. I dont' know how you do it but it's amazing. I love her relationship with Jess and Liv- I like reading that as much as I like reading the romance plot so there you go.

Also, does Seth have a girl friend? Because I thought he did, but maybe he didn't. The end bit broke my heart. WHY DID YOU WAIT SO LONG BOY-O! Silly chicken. And the bit about how Seth sees Mimi as a girl-woman-child, just makes me think even more that in contrast, Robin Roe doesn't have a real picture of Mimi at all. I don't know. I need to re-read the story so I remember the details, but thats what I get from this chapter.

I also love your writing style so insanely much. I want to get into bed with Mimi and never get out. AHAHAHA wow that sounded SO seedy without me even trying. Clarify- I want this to be in book form so that I can snuggle up under my doona and read this whenever I want. I also LOVED that first bit about Mimi wanting to be inspired by a movement about Love. Damn straight Mee. I can't think of anything better to bring people together. Like you, putting this amazing piece of work up here for us to enjoy. The love is there man. The love is there.

So finish this quick and polish it and get this published miss. It needs to be, because I think in a way its every girl's growing up story, and you're doing it magnificently.
