Hmm... Well, first of all, I don't like most of the main characters... Lucas, once we reached chapter 4, turned from the normal sweet friend to someone with very few redeeming qualities... And Catherine was an extremely weak lead, letting him walk all over her. I liked Xavier, and I wish we could have seen more of him.

Now, I know that Lucas is supposed to be messed up and confused, but he continuously leads Catherine on, lies, and keeps secrets... She should have taken a stand earlier and stuck with it... Every time they fought, she caved quickly and the fights ended with no real resolution to the problem... almost every argument ended with 'friends?'. That seemed really unrealistic to me... Fights like those have emotion... you might want to show more of their emotion and let it drag out more. The one time I thought she'd finally grow some balls and get Lucas out of her life, you end up having her get together with him. If you flesh him out a little, maybe use some scenes from his point of view to show us his conflicts in a way that will make readers more empathetic to his problems, I would understand her ending up with him in the end.

I also felt like there wasn't enough lead up to the kiss in chapter 3. They were friends, then bam! He has feelings for her. Maybe show more of the evolution. I'm not saying that things like that can't happen because sometimes it is a spur of the moment thing, but he admits he had liked her for a while, which didn't sit well with me.

The whole story seems to be more focused on emotions than events, but the emotions weren't fully explored. And it may help to give a clearer idea of a time frame... How long were they friends before the kiss? How long did she date Xavier? The story seemed fast paced, but I never really got a clear idea of how fast time was passing... If you mentioned it, and I missed it, sorry.

This isn't a flame... I wouldn't have kept reading till the end and taken the time to review if I didn't think the story had potential. I think you just need to add a little more depth to the relationships between your characters so that the story you built around those relationships is more believable.

Keep writing... Inspiration should never be wasted.

It's a pretty good story. I can see why she chose Lucas over sweet Xavier, because he gave her something even Xavier couldn't give her: freedom without all the twinges of anxiety or even the forced feelings. If something doesn't come naturally after a while, then it might not ever come at all I guess. Good luck with part two of the ending.

Thats was the perfect ending...wow, im really glad i followed. And i liked the dialect between lucus and catherine, most men dont deserve the women they love, but those women deserve to be happy, and there man is sometimes the only thing that can make that happen. I love it.

I really enjoyed your story. I fell in love with all the characters... even Becky in the end! I must admit that i loved Catherine and Xavier together, but it didn't kill me to see her end up with Lucas.

it was a great ending and i'm so happy they got together though i do feel bad for xavier becasue he really did love her if only she could've returned that love but so happy for her and lucas. great ending again!

This story better NOT be over! lol. I've been getting alerts for it for a while now but I've never really taken the time to read it. Now that I have, I'm sorry that I didn't start reading it before. It's REALLY good. I was amazed. I love reading stories with the cool gay friends (hmm maybe i'll add one to one of my stories he he) and Catherine seems really cool. I can imagine her "pleasantly plump" look. And I can see Xavier in my head but Becky and Lucas are hard to imagine. I mean, Lucas acts all girly but then he goes and dates a girl so it's hard. ha ha. But seriously, I LOVE this story. And if this isn't the end, then UPDATE SOON! I want more bitchy Becky! I want more bisexual Lucas! I want more sweet Xavier! And I want more amazingly cool Catherine! lol

You never fail to disapoint. I really liked this chapter and i look forward to the next one. I hope you have fun on your vacation and with the kitten. I'm deffinatly going to check out the other stories.
