Hey there, just a quick comment. "Your Grace" should be for a duke, I believe. And the Queen is actually the Dowager Queen. The title of Queen is reserved for the wife of the king.

I adore this story. You paint such a lovely picture. I can see every espect of the scene. I am impressed. I enjoyed the conniving bit with the best friend at the end. This is how a chapter one should be, setting the scene for the rest of the book. I usually adhere to stories of the supernatural genre, but I love this.

You do a nice job at avoiding passive voice. You have no unecessary adverbs. Your spelling is superb. I really have nothing to pick on. Trust me, I usually rip stories apart. ;)

This really is incredible. I love the mood you have set, love the characters you have created, love the style. I have only one critique and that's make sure to double check it. A few contractions (I'll and can't) found their way in.

Is this supposed to be historically accurate or are the names just inspired by famous royalty?

It might be hopeless, requesting an update over a year and a half after your last chapter was posted, but nevertheless I figured I'd give it a go!

This is a wonderful story- you drew me in completely. Certainly, it's a modern spin on medieval times, but the tone works very well, and I think it's part of the reason the characters are so easy to relate to. The narrative isn't rushed, and I think restraint is the mark of a good author.

Here and there I noticed a few typos (too instead of to, for example) but they're the sort of thing I'm sure you'd be able to pick up yourself if you read through it again!

Anyway - I look at this, and understand perhaps you've moved on from this particular story (or perhaps, you couldn't bear to finish it?) but leaving it incomplete doesn't do your work justice. I think, really, it'd only take one more chapter to round it off, and your readers would love you for it )

Great story so far, you just have to be careful not to drag it out too much from here on...since the only question that needs to be solved now is whether she will claim her rights or not (after john finds out the truth...i wonder what his reaction will be...)
