Your story is nominated for 'Best Portrayed Hero/Heroine' but i think it deserves to be in 'best overall romance', 'best makeout scene' and 'most humours' as well.

The whole idea was so damn good, your plot is one of those plots that ever writer just wishes they came up with first.

I have to say the best chapter has got to be the last one. Van is so damn cute, I think if I was here I'd already have started crying when i say the hearts on tv...but yet again I'm fair emotional :)

I'm obsessed with fictionpress and most of the time when I set down and read a story I read it until the last chapter. If its a complete story i write a long review, if its incomplete i write a short review begging for them to update soon (im impatient i know). But i still read all the chapters and words that are there. Today I had to work so last night i had to go to bed early (which was 11...early 4 me lol) so I've spent the whole of my day at work checking the clock and thinking about your story and how much I needed to read the rest of it...it didnt help that the last chapter i read before going to bed was the one in which they broke up :(

I'm reading all the stories nominated for the 'some kind of wonderful' awards, so far only two stories have dissapointed me and yours is defiantly not one of them. :) Keep up the great work I'll defiantly be waiting out for the sequel.

i don't know what your idea of love is, but honestly, if renee is attracted to all these men, then...? i mean, she's only picked Van LOGICALLY. she's attracted (in more than a physical way) to amy, peter, AND van, but she likes van because of the shared values. wow. romantic...

but that aside... from a story-writing point of view, this addition is distracting and annoying. it's starting to become ike a very, very bad soap (and i understand that, seeing as you've apparently been influenced by mandarine soaps)... but it's irritating and uneccessary

AH! I read this story in around four days and I am extremely giddy right now! You had me going with the whole Amy thing, but phew Van got his act together and came to get her. That song, the guitar one, very nice touch. This is a really random review, if you couldnt already tell, but I am just listing all the wonderful elements in this story. The way that you wrote Renee's emotions was very realistic, I could feel the pain she felt when she lost Van and I was estatic when he asked her to marry him. To tell you the truth, I had a hunch after he got shot about six times what he was doing, but it still was a shocker. There are a lot more parts to this story that I loved, especially the spoon!, but I should probably get ready for sleepy time now. But before I end this tres confusing review I have to thank you for writing this story and for pretty much making my week.

PS I personally loved the story Jukebox...any ideas that I have for stories in my head come from the music that I listen to also. It was fun to find someone who had the same inspiration. So thanks for that too. :)

I'm like...practically crying right now because I'm all sleep-deprived (pity party hearty during winter break...*sigh*) and I just read the "How's my favorite Eff-Me-Girl" line and so yes I'm trying to laugh quietly so I don't freak out everyone more than I already have. Just finished reading your story instead of studying for a final (yes you should feel good about that). I thought it was cute and I liked the use of an international world. However, two things that I thought would improve it:

First, the characters seem a little...young for the age (which is supposed to be mid-twenties right?) and by young I mean a little immature as well as free...quitting jobs and not really working for example. However it was charming as well so your choice regarding that.

Second, I'm not sure I really bought into the love part of the story. Now I'm in love with my guy and he makes time for me and I make time for him. Also, it took us awhile to fall in love and we spent time with each other. Therefore the characters just "poofing" into love was a little unrealistic to me and I think you could flesh that out a bit.

Anyway thank you for writing the story and good luck on future endeavors.

oh my god that was the cutest best romance ever. I read it all in one sit, not an easy task. Well, actually it was. The story was just so darn good.

you had me going there for a second with Amy. I was getting so kind of serious angry-mad. Renee and Van are perfect. Gosh, I think I'm going to have to a thing for Asian boys know. Find out about this craze thats sweeping the nation, plus Van sounds so uber hot. My one regret about reading romance novels is that the guys in them are just so amazing, makes you wish that you could meet them in real life. Lucky Renee, that beyotch. lol.

Please convince your friend to post the Chris/Kyle fic. I'm way too intrigued now to not know what happens. If she won't post then I'll be forced to come up with my own ending/story, and trust me, it won't be anywhere near as good.
