| Liisha2theMoon chapter 1 . 11/19/2006
I was in a play just recently, so I can really see where you're coming from. I think it's a very interesting perspective to take, and I agree with everything you wrote. Especially the line about life being one big audition. It is really really good. I love it.

It's an interesting thing to think about. . . an actor that's tired of acting. But I'm not sure it's realistic. Most people because actors because they enjoy pretending to be other people and fooling the audience. Sure, there are the people that do it for personal glory, but I think they'd fall out of it.
Having said that, don't think I'm calling the piece bad. I rather liked it. It made me think, and stuff on FP doesn't do that often unless it's vague poetry. Although, actually, this felt very poetic to me.

You really nailed that one...
The sheep all bleat the same and they can't stand it when you don't.

Two bits I really like:
"I am what I am what I am and that is who I choose to be.
And I'm the only one I've ever had to please."
"So tell the audience the actress refuses to learn the lines they want to hear.
Then dim the lights, close the curtains, and take me away from all these actors, please."
