this had such strong wording and the meaning was so powerful...i feel the pain of the poem; if this is you or someone you know i am so sorry. But this was a great piece, even through the sadness_

Luke Taylor chapter 1 . 7/5/2006
To sum it up briefly i wil award the highest prasie to this poem that I ever did to any poem, (and this is rare). This poem does not make me flinch.

To go into more detail 'Do you think its right' is a dramatic monologue detailing the surface thoughts of a teenage girl (presumably?) suffering from chronic depression, she feels her world slip away and contemplates suicide, her chaotic mind is illustrated by a complete lack of rhymng scheme and irregular length lines. It is almost continuous pros but juxtaposes any prejudice of this thinking with sudden line breaks. The lack of adjectives give a fresh biographical feel to the overall text and one can imagine the author in a trance-like state as they poor out their heart, simply as it is without incantant elaboration on her behalf. A factual account of a girl with no purpose, this poem is reminiscent of neo-emotional pieces but with a unique non-over the top twist that sets it apart. Quite possibly one of my favourite poems that i have read 'Do you think its right' is ironically blunt as it sums up the complex traumas of a teenage by Luke Taylor
