Reviews for Heart on the Fang
zagato chapter 11 . 4/3/2019
Raul got what he wished for and married Rhian. It is fitting that the heart of the fang was a gift from the coyote to Raul and now from Raul to Rhian. Thank you!
zagato chapter 10 . 4/3/2019
Raul's dream is wonderful, it's good to see Briony, Leidolf, Alis, Lupe, and even Varg. I hope we can see him do something great as she said.
zagato chapter 9 . 4/3/2019
Raul and Rhian fight because they do not understand each other. Maybe given time and understanding, they will be ready to marry. Toal and Delma are too good to Raul and Rhian. I'm surprised that Raul revealed so much to Toal.
zagato chapter 8 . 4/3/2019
Rhian and Raul fit well together, she speaks for him, he protects her. The farmer couple are wise and kind as well.
zagato chapter 7 . 4/3/2019
Raul seemed like a Wolf on a raid when he took away Rhian from the inn. I wonder where their money went.
zagato chapter 6 . 4/3/2019
Raul cares so much for Rhian, while Leidolf is so concerned about Raul. Leidolf and Alis must have several children now after 14 years.
zagato chapter 5 . 4/3/2019
Did not Raul's father teach him and his cousin Briony care for him? Raul's memory of his Wolf life must be so hazy that he cannot remember, but then again he was only five years old then. Given his experience with the Wolves, it seems fitting that he won't consider himself a Wolf. But in one chapter, he considered going back to Midnight Forest with Rhian, her brothers, and the coyote.
zagato chapter 4 . 4/3/2019
I like the alternate points of view, first Raul then Rhian. He is so kind and good to save her and bury her family. Raul must be 18 to 19 years old now.
zagato chapter 3 . 4/2/2019
This is so sudden and tragic. I like how Rhian held her wooden figure and how Raul and Rhian going outside probably saved their lives. Here's hoping they can save the two brothers.
zagato chapter 2 . 4/2/2019
Hi, I noticed you have 60 reviews and thought maybe reviews for 10 chapters can help. I like how Rhian was confused at Raul and how Raul can whittle wood figures. That reminds me of the wooden lap harp in Fear Not the Wolves.
zagato chapter 13 . 4/2/2019
What a cliffhanger, and I look forward to reading more of this story, if any. Thank you for writing!
zagato chapter 12 . 4/2/2019
This story is so beautiful. It also reminded me of another story here at Fictionpress about a girl who met a boy raised by wolves similar to Beauty and the Beast, but I could not find it any more. This is wonderful, thank you!
zagato chapter 1 . 4/2/2019
This is wonderful, you are writing a story about Raul, I'm glad about this, thank you!
Daranak chapter 13 . 12/22/2010
Hi! I don't know whether you're still active on Fictionpress or reading reviews, but I decided to write one for this story given how much I enjoyed it.

First, I cannot compliment you enough on your prose and characterization. Especially for Raul – his lack of knowledge of and awkwardness around other humans and their customs might have come across as unrealistic had this story been written by a less skilled writer, but you pulled it off perfectly. Yes, I'm almost green with envy.

Second, I was really impressed by the amount of small details about your setting you put into this story. Mundane objects, the smells of nature, horsemanship – either you did a superb job of researching before you started to write, or you're an incredible natural at this. Have you ever considered seeking to get published? Because your writing is IMO superior to that of many professional fantasy authors I've read.

Still, there's a few things that nag me about this story. First, why did the raiders/slavers come so far inland to capture prey? Second, after they'd chased off Raul, why didn't they take his cloak and bow before fleeing? Were they afraid he'd be back with reinforcements?
Kiri Hanna chapter 13 . 10/2/2010
