Congrats on getting the story published, but you should definitely stick a disclaimer in the summary about not being able to finish Cat's Eye without purchase. I had planned on buying this once I'd finished the full story, but not being alerted to this problem in the first place has made me seriously consider just dropping it entirely.

I have to say, I absolutely adore this story. And I don't say that a lot... so be proud. The writing is excellent. Aside from a few random typos, I feel like I'm reading an actual professional, published work here.

I've also got to add that the way you keep the romantic thread subdued is really wonderful. Sora and Crash aren't spending the entire first half of the story pining for each other with dramatic inner monologue- I waited for it but it never popped up. It's so unbelievably refreshing.

I want to compliment you on keeping within context. one aspect of Snyder's novels that really bothered me was her lack of restraint in using modern diction.

Yay! It's finally ready! I'm so excited! Now I get to show everyone this awesome story I've been raving about for... how many years? Whoa... It doesn't even feel like that long, though. It's always funny trying to go back and remember how you started something. I don't remember how I stumbled across this little gem so many years ago, but I am very glad that I did. I always tell everyone it's one of my favorite unpublished stories, now it gets to be one of my favorite published books of all time. You really did a wonderful job, and I can't wait to read more of what you do, Theresa.

Oh. My. God. This has taken me a night and a few hours to read but hell, it was worth it. This is one of the best stories I have ever read, it even beats The Inheritance Series, which are my favorite. I see you are making it a book and I congratulate you thoroughly. I have to admit, I am jealous because I have always wished to be an author. However, I hope you will do great and I hope to see the chapters continued. Again, this was wonderful and theres nothing in the world you can do to improve it. Hope to read more of ur work. -Salem p.s. if it becomes a book, I'll be in the line to buy it.

I first read this story a year or so ago, and remembered liking it a lot. But it's only now, when I am rereading it as an aspiring writer myself, that I recognize how well-written it is.

The writing is just good. There's nothing much to say about that-you're probably already aware of it yourself. I like the characters, as well. Sora does seem a bit bordering-on-perfect, but I never really minded that if I liked the main character, and I do. Sora is likable. She's extremely practical and realistic and I like that about her.

I also like Burn, a lot. You did a good job with all the supporting characters.

However, the point of this review was really to tell you how much I hate Laina. I remember hating-no, loathing-Laina so much the first time I read this story that I almost couldn't continue (yes, I tend to feel things very strongly...). And the fact that she never really does get her dues in the end. I want her to die an excruciatingly painful death. She's just so, so annoying in this chapter! And the knowledge that she's going to become worse just makes me want to... argh. I know that it's no use to ask you to change it so that Laina is punished more, but I had to let it out. I guess I'm just immature that way. I think Laina is most evil character in the story though. Biting the hand that fed you-worse than Volcrian.

This is certainly an amazing story with a lot of potentials. Your characters are lovable and you did a great job portraying their different personalities. And the plot, it's absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed every twists and turns in your story, and couldn't help but be more and more attached to Sora after every hardship she endured and after everytime she learned something new. And don't start me talking about Crash. Oh, dreamy, dreamy... )

Also, another thing I really admire about your characterisation is the fact that most of your main characters are relatable, e.g. we see that Sora has her weak side, even though she is mostly strong and brave. This makes her more human.

I also realised that your writing has improved sufficiently through out the entire story. Please do not be offened, but your first chapter really lacks an adequite flow. I suppose it is inevitible, with it being the first chapter, but I think you have been too generalised, and everything seem to happen a bit too fast. However, giving an exception to that chapter, everything else is very well written and your description are very vivid. Your fight scenes are also extraordinarily good; vibrant and motional- just plain amazing. I have also tried wrting one myself, and I know that fight scenes are quite difficult to write.

Anyhow, even though it is a pity, I suppose you won't be posting the rest of your story here now that it's published. But I'd very much like to finish it. So can you please send me the link to purchase the book? )

really a wonderful story, stellar writing. I'm not surprised at all that it was published; even not having read the ending, th rest of it is so good i doubt the story could be ruined even if a fourth grader wrote it. i assume you aren't able to post the rest, considering you haven't updated in over a year, which saddens my heart but is understandable. i suppose i'll just have to buy the book then!

I've read this whole story and love it. I need to read the rest, and was just wondering if there was a set date that the book would be available for purchase?
