I'm frustrated because I can't quite remember what Crash is. I think I remember... But I'm not sure. And I remember some fun romance scenes between Sora and Crash that haven't happened yet. I confess I was disappointed that I have to wait. After all, I've already read the story! But I know you've edited it all a lot since I last read it, and I definitely value editing.

This story has evolved a lot since I first read it a long time ago. I don't even remember Laina! Was she there before or is she an addition from a later draft?

I'm glad you're publishing this. It's a very enjoyable read.

I'm really confused about Crash giving evils to every owner in weapon shops (though there were only two), and them being all nasty back...

Also, Volcrian (is that spelt right) should hurry up and catch them, he's lagging behind a little, and he's funny to read about with his blind hate and vengeance at all costs attitude!

Not at all confusing! Thanks for the explanation. So some friction between Crash and Sora, and Crash runs after her. hehehehe. So where ARE Burn and Laina? Not in trouble AGAIN? ;)

is it just me or is that last bit of conversation with the mapmaker almost exactly the same verbatim as the previous conversation with a mapmaker for the map of the swamps? o_o?

Ok. So... The first part of this story was VERY good. But wow. Deja vu with the mapmaker scene. Was it supposed to be almost identical to the other mapmaker part? It was strange, and seemed like a mistake, like the same part accidentally got pasted in there.

It was comforting to know that the names "Crash" and "Burn" were intentional. There couls be one weird tale behind those names...

Well, anyway, this is a wonderful story and I can't wait for more!

HI! Me again. Lol, my friends all think I'm such a weirdo for reviewing three times in a row and say that i should just leave you in peace. They're calling me obsessed now. Anyway, yet another fabulous chapter. Awesomeness personified. And there was so much Crash-Sora interaction. YAY!So nice! I liked the part when he catches her in her towel and Sora is so oblivious about his reaction. So funny. But it's nice cos it shows that, assasin or not, he is definately male. And the argument was cool too, although there are yet now more questions about Crash. But i'm guessing that Laina knows what he is too cos he didn't like her the moment he met her, just like in this chapter with the woman and she obviously knows who he is. It's probably also why Laina doesn't like him. And the reconciliation part was surprising too. Nice but surprising, cos I didn't expect them to kiss and make up so quickly. Ah, but the part where they make up, Crash is so sweet. Again surprising but nice too, cos it's rare that we see him so openly caring and whatnot. Anyway, great job as usual. I'll be waiting for the next chapter.

Yay, yay, yay! Another chapter!

Aw...it's cute how oblivious Sora is. And how in denial Crash is. What a cute little pair. Haha. Seriously, though, they are great together. The whole Crash-comforting-Sora-because-he-was-an-ass-and-made-her-cry scene was very cute.

I loved that the whole chapter was Sora/Crash oriented. So thank you very much for that.

The mapmaker scene...incredibly similar to the first one, before the swamp. Intentional? I'm sure it is, but why is it that Sora doesn't notice this? Well, yes, it is quite identical, except Crash is now called a "beastie" instead of "not of these parts", if I recall correctly. And...different colored eyes? And slightly differing dialogue. Maybe it's just a mapmaker thing.

Two questions about Crash, and two theories...

How old is Crash? (In human years, at least?)

Why didn't/couldn't Crash use his magic to heal Sora when the wraith attacked? Did he not want to be found out? It seems that Sora hardly would have noticed. Crash was certainly attached enough to want to save her. Or was he somehow not able?

And the two theories about Crash's origins...

One, he is the child of Light and Dark. I don't really have much evidence for this, except for the mystery of it.

Two, he's a Dracian. Each of the people he's encountered and had a strange reaction to is of a different element. Laina and the mapmakers...Wind or Air perhaps. The street entertainer and the fisher...earth maybe? And I would say Crash is fire. Dracians look quite human. And Sora did see a strange figure - lizard-like, perhaps? - when they were attacked by the Caitlins. This is my better guess. But I don't know...

So I can't wait to find out more in another chapter.

Oh, when you're rich and have built your own Catlin colony, invite me, okay? Good. Although...could the lake be not frozen? At least part of the year? I like freshwater, even though I detest the ocean, so we could...swim or something. Boat? Float? Eh, we have time to figure it out. Construction's slow.

Ahh...about Laina. I wasn't sure if she would turn into some reformed Sora clone, so I'm definitely glad the shallowness is intended. Maybe she'll just sacrifice herself or something, and it'll be noble, but we won't really care because we never really loved her in the first place. Although, how sad it would be for Burn to lose two of his friends. Well, I'm not sure I should place Laina on the same level as Dorian. Definitely no, methinks.

haha, so i had the strangest feeling that i'd read the same passage about the mapmaker before. I went back and read chapter 7 and it was the same, which means i wasn't having weird deja vu. whew!

anyway, i really enjoy this story. The characters are wonderful. Great job!

I'm confused why you have the same scene with the mapmaker as when they were getting the Catlin swamp map... um, yeah. But other than that, this story ROXORS.

But wait a second... isn't that the same mapmaker from Mayville or am I experiencing some strange deja vu? O.o

I noticed that the confrontation with the mapmaker in chapter seven is almost exactly the same as in this chapter. Did you mean to do that? It seems really weird that that would happen and I don't understand why the same mapmaker be in two different towns unless he had more than one store. But then they would remember each other, wouldn't they?

I can't wait for this to be finished and I am defiantly going to buy the book when it's published.
