Wow! I really like this story; it's very good and well written (I stayed up to four in the mourning reading it lol). I also hope to buy it when the book comes out.

The mistakes she made in battle were entirely th fault of those spirits that resided within the necklace. But would some of them not be experts and would they not therefore rectify their mistakes? Unless the Cat's Eye did not allow them knowledge of her...So is Crash harpy or dracian? Laina must, of course, be the opposite. Your story is beautifully done. :D

Okay, so, I am completely and totally in love with this story. I just discovered it yesterday, and I quickly read to this update. And it is AMAZING!

It's wonderfully written. The descriptions, the emotions you convey, the originality of it all - it's really, really good.

Sora, Crash, Dorian, and Burn are all rounded and likeable and intriguing and wonderful. Laina's new, so I'm not particularly attached to her yet, but I'm sure I will be in time.

And the story's so creative! I want to live with the Catlins! Except for the whole evil, hating human thing.

It's amazing because it is both addicting and well-written. I can't wait for more. I'm so excited to hear you're publishing it, and the cover looks amazing! I'll definitely want to buy it when it's available, so keep us updated.

I have never read a story with so many twists and turns... I love it! And yes, it is frustrating, but not unbearable. :) It definately keeps me on my toes...who am i kidding? I'm practically going crazy! But i shall endure. I always do. :D love these last 2 chappies!

hi, I'm a little confused about the state of completeness for Cat's Eye. In your profile and in the SKOW awards website, it states Cat's Eye is complete but when I wanted to read Cat's Eye, ch 22 did not seem like an ending. Besides that, your plot is fantastic. I just wanted to tell you how much I love your story! There's just enough suspense to keep you reading, but not so much suspense that you just want to give up, you know? But anyway, great story. I eagerly await the next update.

oh and by the way, Dorian was totally my favorite character. I was very sad when he died.

i totally agree with the crash and burn thing, its amused me too, i miss dorian, but it just dosent fit.

for a while i was worried volcrian would have killed soras mother. i figured he wouldent care like at the beginging of the story. glad he left her alone. its a difrent twist i could say, beacuse i was sure that would have happend once he got to town.

im so happy crash seems to be opening up, and apenrntly wispering in soras ear where there really wasent any need to too... hehehe oh those beautiful sweet nothing of looking like a fish.

Just curious, but if Volcrian can smell blood that old, and he can identify Dorian's, couldn't he identify Crash's? Not that there was super amount or anything, but they did all stay there for quite a while. Or is it just easier for him to recognize his own kind, especially since he died?

Also, regarding the timeline... I'm assuming this Volcrian encounter is taking part around the same time as the bandit situation of the last chapter, right? Wasn't that several weeks after Sora left her mother? Lorianne thinking about how quickly Volcrian had come doesn't fit right. "Quickly" would seem like a week, maybe two at the most. And, hadn't that traveling newsman in the town (the one Sora heard about Volcrian from) said he was only a week away? You might want to look over this timeline thing, because things aren't quite adding up.

M, I love the smell of the ocean before you can see it. Like, where you're driving to the beach, and you can't see the ocean yet, but you can smell it. The simple joys of a Californian.

"When he met her eyes, his face loosened, and he gave her a small smile. “It's not like that. I don't know that man.”"... Crash? Smiling? Wow, that's out of character. His shell is breaking down! Yay!

Is Sora not going to ask him why he spent so much money? If I were her, I would. I'd probably be a little annoyed, though I'm sure she trusts him enough to not worry too much about it, right?

why did he spend so much on the inn if they couldn't even afford a boat?
