Reviews for Forty Gold Pieces
felicia13 chapter 1 . 10/1/2006
Quite bitter. And a bit sarcastic, as well. Reminds me of a number of things ... none of which I can put a finger on.

"But forty gold pieces wouldn't buy back your soul" I love it!

I liked this one too. At first I thought the title was a reference to Judas, but I was pleasently surprised by this. Anger is emotion, and emotion is what makes up the core of poetry. I like it.

I think you might have meant trust instead of rust though. ;)

I like this concept of forty gold pieces, but it gets a little hard to follow in the last stanza, with "But forty gold pieces won't buy back your soul/because it's only worth the price of one..." Huh? o_O I have to be missing something. My favorite lines "I'll send you your death wish/carved onto stone", so very macabre. ~bella~
