I loved it! The language barrier, the whole selfdenial, the characters, the plot. Everything. I think this is my favorite chapter, I just loved how this one started. There are a few mistakes in your French but that's understandable. I mean everyone does that no matter what language it is.

Just to let you know, I loved the summary; if it hadn't been for that, I would not even be reading this right now. So props for that. And this chap was actually pretty good; not much is happening yet, obviously, but it's a good intro and it's actually not cheesy (double-props :P ;)) Nice :)

While this was a solidly written story, I have to say, it was a little abrupt there at the end; the engagement thing was very rushed and the confession came from out of the blue.
