Gaius Marius Pera chapter 1 . 1/28/2007
I have to agree...The plot is like a spin of wool, where the plot reveals itself overtime, it is beautifully written and the speed of the plot reveals itself is just perfect, not too fast nor slow.

Please, do write more, good literature like this should be promoted!
V de V chapter 12 . 11/6/2006
Oh my god. This is absolutely the best story I have ever read on Fiction Press on ancient Rome. It is awesome. I mean you got the history (haha) right, and the Latin is there as well to add flavor. I love the violence, passion, and politicking. The multiple perspectives is masterfully done, and I applaud your variety-the gladiatorial arena, the palace, a dinner party. I especially love your little note at the end, saying that Titus the Fair (nice) rewrote the annils and created Caligula, Claudius, and Nero. This is such a good story. It captures The ambience of Rome so well. The characterization and descriptions are great, too. Wonderful, wonderful piece. It makes any classics buff (like me) very happy. Long live Rome.
