I can't think of an example right now, but I think it was in the parts with Michael, something like "Oh, I see", which feels a little too polite in a conversation between 18 year olds. But as I said, maybe it's just me.

I didn't feel it in this chapter though.

I liked this chapter, especially the awkwardness when they're watching the movie together. As Jason says, if Skye (I like the name!) was a girl, then inviting him over would mean that Jason was interested.

Just one thing though. When Jason realises that he has feelings for Skye he's almost too unbothered by it, too accepting. What bothers him is that he can't ask Skye out. And that's how it should be, I suppose, and I understand if you don't want to angst away for ten chapters, but now it feels a bit too easy to be realistic.

I like the part when he thought about what it takes to be gay though. Those damn labels!

I like your way of writing, but sometimes the dialogue seems a little too neat sometimes, feels a little forced, too eleborated. It's not bad, but it's not how people talk. Or maybe it's just not how people talk in my life :)
