Well, the chapter was well worth the wait. I love it! This is probably one of my favorite stories on this site. Usually after being away from a story I have a hard time getting into them again when a new chapter shows up. But that never happens when I read yours. Your writing style always pulls me back into everything without having to re-read the previous chapters. I really like that.

Forget the fact that it's been forever and a day since you last updated this story, I can't believe Connor used to rape her, but then again i guess a part of me always knew. But that is just...*shudders*. I'm glad Charles killed him now, I would have too. He raped his half sister. Several times I'm guessing.

On a less disturbing note, I just realized all of their names star with 'C'.

No worries, this chapter has only added to my opinion of the story. Each character is so real that it frightens me. There are no calm moments while reading this because there is always an underlying feeling of uneasiness, of disquiet. Which there should be.

It's a sick, twisted story but that's exactly what it needs to be. It's no wonder Cassie's mind is broken. You do a very good job portraying her, it's as realistic as can be, even though there's such a surreal quality to this story. Most people could hardly imagine such things happening but they do. To meet people who have had similar things happen to them is like meeting Cassie; they really are like her.

This story is so twisted, I'm surprised I'm still reading it! But I can't seem to stop; you've sucked me into it. Well, you better update this soon. And put the sequel to Redux up soon so I can read a happier story.

There's something I don't quite get, though: why do Kenneth and Berland pay them to be quiet? I would think that Charles would be more than pleased to keep quiet the fact that he's a murderer, do I make sense?

This is really strange, but in an oddly good way. You write so visually, you can almost see the characters - which in their compromising position is probably not what I should have said. But again, a really good chapter, but with these long waits I have to keep rereading the last chapter to catch up with the next! Not to worry though lol.

Things are coming together now, for sure. This chapter in particular gave me a bit of a "A Clockwork Orange" vibe in regards to the classical music imagery.

Things at ending at Chapter Thirteen is quite apt.
