Well-written, with strong characterization, and a compelling read; however, I can understand why you wouldn't really enjoy writing it but would feel compelled to. It's the sort of story that gets into your head and has to be released somehow, because it isn't the sort of thing that should be internalized. It reminds me of the short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" in some ways; if you haven't read it (which would surprise me) I would recommend doing so.

i dont know what to make of it, not sure if i even truly like it... but its beautiful and was an intresting read.

I'm loving this story so far. It's refreshing reading something totally different from your previous work. Eidolon kinda seems like a mix between V.C. Andrews (the incest, Kenneth's ex-wives are called Barbies) and Neil Gaiman (It might be the imagery but I'm not really sure). Don't get me wrong though, Eidolon completely showcases your talents and writing style.

Anyway, Eidolon is an amazing piece of work and some of your strongest writing.

This story gives me shivers just to read it. Very different from your other ones, yet very evoking emotion. It is powerful and makes a person connect while shuddering in horror. Especially questioning if Charles and Connor are ghosts or it is just in her mind. It would be creepy if they were ghosts, her never escaping them, driven crazy by Connor. Though great part on Mr. Wyman abusing her, even if he didn't. Rich people getting away with it, locking away their daughter and avoiding scandal that would ruin their business.

Your story leaves me with chills. I am going to have nightmares thanks to you- the very best kind of stories do that! )
