|Reviews for Phoenix Rising|
| hellbentheretic chapter 1 . 12/1/2006
Wow! Very nice indeed. The end of my first relationship was very much like you discribe here. Those terrible moments that seem to stretch on forever, but in the end fade and get lost 'like tears in rain.' I like the analogy of the phoenix rising again from the ashes of the destroyed self (past) and becoming stronger. This reminds me of the old saying, 'that which does not kill us makes us stronger.' But I don't think that applies here. I think, 'that which does not kill us makes us stranger,' is more apt to this subject.
I'm not so sure about the bold type and underlining of certain parts. You could keep them, but for me it makes me want to read this thing faster b/c those words/ passages stand out. I would perhaps limit myself to only three of four of those. That way the reader can enjoy what is being conveyed here and not speed read through it.
ps- r/r to one of mine?
