That was heart-wrenching. I definitely got misty-eyed at the end of it. So sad but so good!

There were a few minor errors. "Santa" wasn't capitalized, and neither was "It's a Wonderful Life." Those were the two errors that really stuck out to me.

Perhaps it's because I was reminded of my own cousin, but I could really relate to this story. I would've liked to hear more about Katherine's personality, particularly compared to the narrator, and how she died. Since taking the coward's way out was mentioned (and since the narrator said that Katherine was weak), I assume that she committed suicide, but...maybe not.

Nevertheless, this piece was truly moving, and I'm glad I read it! :)

Great story! It's sort of sad and hopeful at the same time (or that's what I got from it), and I'd think that's hard to do.
