You're tight this is short, but sweet? I think it has more of a meloncholy feel to it, but there is hope buried within. Take the first stanza and follow up line to that. This speaks of at least a vague understanding of the world around us, and a resolve to not be afraid now. Notice how I put now at the end of that last sentence. Things will change that make us afraid, but we cope. The last line of this piece, 'and I am torn.' speaks of confusion and of fear, but fear that can be managed and not life changing or in ther words it doesn't hurt as much b/c of experience to the contrary of fear i.e. courage and those emotions that follow it; happiness, determination, and fortitude.
As for the way the title fits into this piece, I'm not so sure if it has much to do about love- that I could see anyway. Perhaps just, 'Thoughts on Life'?
Good job on this one,
