Somehow I could relate to this story. I was reading half way through the story (though before the song she heard on the radio) and I just happened to look at the title. I really liked the title. However, the imagery I get was one that spoke of a mother's love for the child.. And in the story, it doesn't match up with the image I get yknw? Like she said the mother was too passive, etc.

I thought that there was a sense of relief in the character that hey she was going away.. She was very systematic and detached, and well I thought it was rather sad that her good friend was close to her because he doesnt ask questions. Shrugs.

I enjoyed this story and well. If I have time, I'll come back to read your other work. :) Continue writing!

This is very deep. I think that you should've put more of the person's feelings on her mother's death, more un-affection of her mother. You should've had some things about the mother, like what she was like, how did she look like, etc.

Nonetheless, it definitely was not a waste of my time to read. "B/A-"
