I love the imagery in this poem; that it's not just talking about the feeling of loneliness, but the other senses it's associated with. Because being lonely makes all your senses feel differently, doesn't it? I also always like vampire perspective.

Well that certainly sounds like a vampire to me, ever contemplating their reason for existance. After all what else is new after a couple hundred centuries?
