| Lovedward48 chapter 1 . 3/24/2008
Yay! I like it! You described it very well! Good flow!
| Durandel chapter 1 . 2/6/2007
Wow, that confused me in the beggining, but it came together really well in the end, life is iperfect and perfect at the same time... well that does sound reasonable if you think about it...
| Spirit Tigress chapter 1 . 2/2/2007
I actually get this one! )
| Sir Scott chapter 1 . 1/7/2007
When I was a kid people would laugh at you for wearing hoodies. That's why I switched to blue jean jackets and leather ones. I liked this work, anyway. I would like to hear about shoes and their place in the universe.
| kaorayen chapter 1 . 1/7/2007
This is just really, really good. The metaphors are amazing and well thought-out. It just makes you take a step back and think for a while. Super, super poem. I like the title too, even if I don't quite get it.
| the-foresight chapter 1 . 1/4/2007
I loved that, so well written and just so true. I could relate which is why it worked so well for me.
| setne chapter 1 . 12/26/2006
Wow. As I read this in the middle of the French countryside with a cold fog outside (no snow, alas!), I am quite moved. You've grown, truly. And you've found something resonatingly true, something in which we can all recognize ourselves. Quite beautifully worded, as well.
I have ejoyed this and pondered about it. And that is always a good thing. Even if it is already the past, a Merry Christmas!
Setne (aka Anaare)
| kenansense chapter 1 . 12/22/2006
Wow. I definitely wasn't wrong when I praised you so highly. The freaking MEANING OF LIFE - and I found it in one of your poems XD
But seriously, you do a great job of delving into philosophy and keeping a sense of humor about the whole thing. And your poetic style is nearly flawless as always. This is something I've actually been thinking about lately - the role of our mistakes in our lives - and you do an amazing job of addressing it. In fact, I think this is going on my fave stories list.
If you ever decide to talk about the purpose of shoes in the universe, I'll be first in line D
| WyrdWolf chapter 1 . 12/20/2006
God...wow. Felicia, this was incredibly powerful and eloquent...just miraculous work, I swear it. I want to read it at tomorrow's Writer's Guild meeting, very badly, if you don't mind. If you do mind, try to tell me before eleven o' clock tonight, otherwise there's no way I won't read this...it was amazing. When you feel something, love, you know how to make everyone else feel it, too. And that's a very good thing.
Wondrous job, Felicia. *kiss*
| empathic life chapter 1 . 12/19/2006
Oh my god, babe. When did you make the switch from incredible writer to a heart wrenching, honest to god, should be freakin' published artist? I can't even put it in words how amazing that poem is. I love it. Maybe just 'cause it's got hoodies in it, but I'll be darned if you didn't fit hoodies and raw truth and beauty all together into one poem. Sigh. Amazing.
| Moondog Dozier chapter 1 . 12/19/2006
The voice and the continuation of voice in this really connects the reader to the progression and the thought process used to tether this all together. I like how you've interspersed details, and common sayings to give this a universal relatability. Well written and thought provoking. Good work. MD:77.
| brokendreams21 chapter 1 . 12/19/2006
Oh wow. You manage to stun me yet again. Maybe I'll never write again.
I like how you focus on certain details. Yay for brackets. I like the diction of this poem. It's almost like rambling, but it's very purposefully directed in one direction.
It's very thought-provoking and you make some very good points. It really made me smile.
Awesome job. Once again.
PS I need to get me some Creative Writing classes or something...
| An-Author-At-Heart chapter 1 . 12/19/2006
Oh nice! I like this a lot, it's unique and thought-provoking. Well thought out, well-written, good comparisons (lol hoodie). And I like the joke "Life is like (not a box of chocolates)". Great job!
