| failte200 chapter 1 . 1/11/2007 Well, you EVENTUALLY got me interested - but man, it was a slow start... I even skimmed a little. You could have summed up the first several paragraph just by saying "They'd met on the beach when they were four." I was glad to see time skipping by to High School. Anyway - that said - I have a feel for the characters now, and I'm interested in them. Although of course Gerald is far more empathetic than Michael - can't wait to see the turning point. And if it's gonna be awhile, I hope you'll hint at it. That's what keeps readers interested - hints about what's to come. Okay, on to Chapter 2. |
| princess max chapter 2 . 1/11/2007 It's a nice touch making Gerald's mother 'not completely bad'. I think a lot of writers go OTT trying to make bad parents come across as completely insane. It's so much more realistic when they have moments of clarity, of good parenting. Nice work. |
