Hah, I saw the name Bayside and immediatly jumped to read this. Which I am SOO GLAD I DID. I love it, the rhyming is wonderful it would make an awesome, awesome song that I would listen to constantly. I love some of the little things you say in there that seem ohso clever, and the last line is perfect. Although I liked the first section best. But it was all great. Just great.

It almsot has a song feeling to it, lyrical really.

"Look, I'm putting your heart away

In my knapsack here where we will keep it safe

(As pathetic and alone as it is)

We'll put it by the fire and let it warm

Just in time to make a splash when

A blast hits the door

And down we all fall

With our obliterated walls"

I love it. It seeps with frustration yet regret through an almost apology but not quite... like your pride gets in the way. i can tell whatever this was that happened hurt more then maybe expected. But hey, all bad things become bearable and maybe even forgivable through writing right?
