I have read both of your essay. This one and the other one about Malaysia (I guessed that bit). I don't really know what to say. My first thought was, "freedom?" But then again, I have no clue about the people in those situations.

You wriet essays to convey a message. At least I hope you do. But I see no point in this essay, but sympathy fishing. It's the sorta story that people would go 'aw, it's a happy ending'. I really don't know enough of you to judge. But still... give me a break. "Large foreign corporate bodies" who "seduced you" and so, they are labeled as "hateful beings". As if they did not have tribal wars before that.

Also, when you said these invaders, be clear, because it seems you want to kick the people who are helping you out. You also said "We only have ourselves to blame" doesn't that contradict about what you said about the "hateful beings."

I am wealthy. I'm not bragging. It's a fact. I live in a safe-ish environment. I doubt that in my current state I can truly feel how these people feel. But this is my opinion
