Esmerelda7 chapter 1 . 5/25/2011
I have tried time and again to decide how to review this.

I am simply at a loss for words.

The writing is captivaiting, and the storyline...

I wanted to say that this was interesting, but that doesn't even begin to describe it.

I wanted to compliment you for the way you sounded realistic, even though this is sci-fi, but the way that came out simply sounded like, "Tis is ok...for sci-fi." Which is not at all how I feel.

I think it's amazing.

Sci-fi or not.

Doesn't matter.

The love between a father and a daughter is something you captured perfectly-It doesn't matter what her mother did, she's still his daughter.

I do wish you would continue this, writing other stories about problems that could emerge from being able to decide such things about your child.
MadelineBemel chapter 1 . 2/9/2008
The ending is slightly bittersweet, but that's just me... And I am one that usually sees things from an angsty point of view.

This was a really sweet father/daughter story, and I guess that I can say that I'm not so fond of the wife. But I'm also guessing that she's supposed to be the antagonist.

The "world" that you have created with the amazing scientific discoveries also adds some excellent background to the story.

ecwix chapter 1 . 3/3/2007
Amazing. This is the type of sci-fi I like the most, the kind that takes an issue and analyzes it under a new setting, with fictional characters.

And for this sort of thing, I find that short stories are one of my favorites mediums for this sort of thing, although I haven't uploaded most of mine up here.

Great work! Keep writing!
