Selfinflicted Poison chapter 33 . 3/1/2016 Brilliant story! I do not regret reading this. :) |
Vallucast chapter 33 . 7/12/2014 This story is awesome! The details in which you put them and each character personality were superb. Sometimes the writer have the tendency to mesh their personality unconsciously. And i just happen to like Katherine, Terry and El. Especially Derek's brother. The creep is awesomish tingly. |
Pantu chapter 33 . 2/3/2014 I know this is ages old now, and you probably don't check up on it anymore, but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your story. It was deeply moving in places, your characterisation was wonderful and I the world you created was interesting. This is a very long story and there were a couple of parts where I thought you went into a lot of detail, or repeated details that was a little frustrating, particularly in the Matt and Shen sections. That was just a minor thing though and overall I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Thank you so much for sharing. -Pantu |
judgemetoxic chapter 33 . 8/31/2013 This is an amazing story, One of my favorites, its heavy but its just so amazingly done. Love. |
R. Ficst chapter 33 . 6/1/2013 I stayed up way too late reading this start to finish. I'll come back and leave a proper review if I can. Loved it. |
Colocho chapter 33 . 9/8/2012 Amazing story! all their stories were very interesting and touching :'D I only wish Matt and Shen would have done IT at least once XDDD The world you created was very interesting and everything made sense, only a few things didn't match for me, for example they use flash drives, I thinks that's a little too 21st century. Also I would have liked to read the part were Rory and the guys scape the planet after the rescue, that would have been an interesting part not to miss. Excellent story :) I enjoyed it very much |
NoSlipCondition chapter 33 . 6/6/2012 I loved this. I loved the sims interactions with Kai, I loved Gavan and Jaime's desperate romance, I just... wow. I felt so many things from this story, that now I'm emotionally drained. haha Once they were all reunited, I feel like such a rush of things happened that I was kind of overwhelmed. Not in a bad way, necessarily. Thank you for sharing this with us! |
theSplash chapter 33 . 5/15/2012 OH. MY. GOD. This. THIS. THIS IS A WORK OF GENIUS. LOVE IT. ADORE IT. NOT ABLE TO SURVIVE WITHOUT IT. This is such a masterpiece! Thank you so much for this godly work of art! This is honestly one of THE VERY BEST pieces I've ever had the honor of reading, and I loved every moment of it! I fell in love with your characters, all of them, and the world you've created for them! They're all so vivid, so ALIVE! Truly, this was such a magical journey to read! I loved all of them, from Kai and his silent suffering, to the Sims and their undying loyalty to their creator (loyalty is a trait that I personally treasure above all else, and I felt really connected to the Sims in this respect), to Ro-Sim's fantastically humorous escapades, to Katherine's mothering personality, to following Rory's downfalls and triumphs, to Gavan's insecurity and Jaime's sassy personality, to Shen's quiet demeanor, to Matt's (cringingly painful-to-read) carefree attitude that always got him in trouble. And not to mention how perfectly and tastefully steamy it was! I loved it all. It is so well written; not simple, but not bogged down by details. Suspenseful, beautifully sectioned, and majestically orchestrated. It is a story so wonderfully woven, it completely entranced my senses. Truly, thank you! I was a bit sad, at the end, to see their lives diverging so soon after they'd been reunited, but in the end, I know their friendship will last them more than a lifetime. I feel so sated, so blissfully satisfied, and while I am sad to have reached the end, it was a perfect note to end on (I hate stories that drag on for longer than they should). My dear, you are a veritable master of the pen (or in this case, keyboard ;P) |
Ren chapter 33 . 1/9/2012 I wish I'd had the patience to write a review for every chapter-work of this quality deserves far more than the meager review count it's gotten so far-but I couldn't (figuratively) put it down. Your humor was snarky, the characters were believable, and the universe was convincing. It was coincidence that I came across this now, since I've only recently begun to appreciate sci-fi. I loved Theatrum Astra because it was a story of epic proportions that didn't try to oversell itself. The rules you laid down in your universe made sense and were consistent. There was a balance between romance and plot that kept me from being bored. And as a picky reader, I am completely in love with your writing. At least once a chapter, I've paused to admire some random phrase or paragraph and subconsciously tried to commit it to memory. This piece has obviously made me want your nuts, so the only thing I can really point out is what seems to be a lapse in thorough beta-ing in the later chapters (words spelled or used incorrectly). Otherwise, I honestly have far too much to praise in a single review. |
SpazticCat chapter 33 . 8/20/2011 AMAZING. I loved this story! I want to hug all of them so badly! (But maybe not Gavan, 'cause I don't really want Jaime to kill me...) There's nothing wrong besides some typos, like their/they're and your/you're. Other than that it was FANTASTIC. Love love love... :D ~SpazticCat |
naomi chapter 33 . 7/22/2011 Wow. I LOVED this. I love the characters, the relationships, everything. ;_; So good! I guess we don't really learn more about what happens to Derek, though yeah, it's pretty much implied. There are a few grammatical/spelling errors but none of that stopped me from enjoying all 33 chapters of well-written, awesome storytelling! The only part where I had to suspend my disbelief a little is when there was a bit of a timeskip and Rory and Stuie managed to rescue Shen and Matt at the right place and time. But of course, Rory and Stuie are Big Damn Heroes and Heroes always manage to rescue people In the Nick of Time. :) I love how so much of this was pre-planned. Like Rory's allergic reaction/itching was hinted at so it wasn't a real shock. I love the ending. Everyone is alive. Everyone is recovering. Everyone has plans for the future. All's well ends well. 3 |
Krowhop chapter 33 . 4/11/2011 Over the last week or so I have marathon read this, and I have just loved it. Sorry for being a 'ghost reader' but I couldn't leave a review till now due to reading it on my kindle (I acutally finished earlier today, but came online at work to make sure i left you at least one review!) The story was really great, I laughed out loud, and often, and cried a few times, i think. I even said 'WHAT THE HELL?' aloud at work, when the two were put into the one cell. It was amazing, and wonderful, and awesome, and I am totally going to stalk/read the rest of your stuff. Great job, and thank you! |
vrada chapter 33 . 3/1/2011 what an incredible read! loved it! the world, the caracters, the story. loved it! sad ists over, but glad i can rejoin the real world again, heh. thank you so much for sharing! cheers |
vivid planets chapter 33 . 2/21/2011 Wow! I stumbled upon this fic because it was on someone else's favorite's, and it was such a fantastic read! I was so nervous whenever I'd read Matt and Shen's bits, and I absolutely fell in love with Rory and Kai moments. I think I'm especially in love with Ro-sim, hahaha! Thank you so much, I had so much fun reading this! |
CiraArana chapter 33 . 12/20/2010 Hey! Your story was rec'd on the_slash_pile on livejournal. Sci-Fi and Romance sounded good, and it's long, too (fics can never be too long, the longer the better!) so I came here and read it. Finished last night, and oh, wow. Wow! I had such a great time reading it. Great world-building, wonderful characters, and excellent timing keeping three different narratives up and running. I loved all of them. Kai and Rory: oh, my, pining for each other! Misunderstandings and falling out and getting back together - not to forget both pining for each other. Hmm, I love that. It's so much fun for the reader, to read between the lines and see through the misunderstandigns and wait until the boys get it. :) And Ro-Sim was so, so adorable! Matt and Shen: you almost gave me a heart attack. I swear! All those times creeping up and down stairs and through corridors, I was holding my breath all the time. And the one time they were almost caught by the guards, mwah, I about died. Great suspense and adventure. And Wharum Myawh? Hilarious; he was *interested* in Matt! LOL Gavan and Jaime: God, Gavan's story was heartbreaking. I was so glad when Jamie finally got through to him - both literally and figuratively. Great representation of Gavan's psychology - and how damaged he is, how damaged they all are. All too often, trauma is swept under the carpet once it's done and the hero has found two wuv. Loved that it isn't the case here. And they all escaped! More almost-heart attacks during their respective escapes. And then to run into each other at the spaceport! There really are no accidents, are there? :) So ironic, that they were all in the same compound. And that they all escaped at about the same time! The two guys the doctor spoke of; Gavan and Jaime? He, the guards must have had an aneurysm (LOL) when not two but *four* slaves escaped! Can't stop Earthians, can you? :D Matt putting necklocks around the statues of the gods - gah, hilarious, though I probably shouldn't be laughing. Katherine forcing Kai into "the complete works", and Ro-Sim not helping because Katherine is scarier! LOL. And a Yattsu suit, I bet Rory would love to see Kai wear it. Katherine kicking the stereo? Awesome. I loved all of the Sims. I loved it that they are more than robots, that they each have their own personality - and that Kai doesn't know how he does it. It's like magic - or like making babies. ;) I was so happy that Ro-Sim found his own happy end. Okay, to cut my rambling short: I enjoyed your story immensely and will be reccing it to everyone who stands still long enough to listen to me squee about it. :) Thank you for sharing this wonderful story. |
