|Reviews for Finding the Word Hate in a Thesaurus|
| Mr. Ree chapter 1 . 2/10/2014
Hey there! Your story has been added to the one-shot category of 'A Drop of Romeo!' Here's your review:
Ali Thinks: There's bittersweet, and then there's Finding the Word Hate in the Thesaurus. I'm not entirely sure whether Daydream Nation is a sadist or a genius or a bit of both, but I've never reacted to a story that took less than 90 seconds to read. It's just under 300 words, and it's perfect. I was so expecting to feel like it was missing something due to its length, but everything was just right.
Seriously, this story is brilliant. The ending is not what I (or anyone else, according to the reviews I looked through) expected. But we all loved it, and I think you will, too.

Oh my God. nO-ONE WARNED ME THAT THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. THAT'S NOT FAIR. NO. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT IT *PUTS FINGERS IN EAR* LALALALALALALALALALA.
(P.S - that was very, very good. And clever. But now I'm sad.)

My... Aren't you a sadist. This was touching to read though. It's reminiscent of the messages I'd occasionally get emailed years ago, which always prompted me to forward them because "you should let people know that you love them" and all that jazz.
Thanks for the read.
| my princess ending chapter 1 . 12/2/2013
After reading the summary on A Drop of Romeo, I was really excited to read it, thinking it was a goose chase between a boy and girl with really fluffy scenes but this turned out to be something more. It had so much feeling but so little words. When I noticed there were 291 words, I couldn't believe it. All the thoughts and ideas of what I thought this story was going to be like completely erased. I didn't know what to think or what to expect. This completely wasn't what I expected but it still met my expectations in a way. Good job. :)

I really enjoyed reading this. The start of it was very funny, but the ending almost made me cry. Nice work!
| frouwe chapter 1 . 9/17/2011
Humour and angst. Quite possibly my favourite combination. And this had just the right amount of both to be considered perfectly bittersweet, even though it was incredibly short.
| DorkExpress chapter 1 . 4/2/2011
Aw... how sad!
See, that's why you don't make people suffer...
But it was good. Short, sweet and sour and to the point.
| MsKarlz4 chapter 1 . 7/5/2010
aww...that was so short...
It was so sweet though ]
| cerulean-azure chapter 1 . 12/24/2009
ohh... why did he have to die? Short but conveyed the necessary emotions.
| emigirl chapter 1 . 12/11/2009
this was really, really beautiful. short but sweet, with lots of bittersweetness. each segment was awesome and added so much character to the whole thing. that girl really did hate him- i can't imagine cutting off my hair just to spite some kid i hated (btw, that was what drew me in from your summary)
the ending was a shocker and a tearjerker. that last line just summed everything up so well. very good job.
| dust and glitter chapter 1 . 11/24/2009
While this may be the shortest one-shot I've ever read, it's possibly the best. It's amazing what you've done with so few words when at the same time Stephanie Meyer writes 500 odd page books that are shite (okay, controversial issue, but you get my drift ;))
Basically? I adore this ;D
| NeverHeardOfYou chapter 1 . 10/9/2009
