Reviews for An Open Letter to Teenagers |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hey, just giving you a note: you have a bunch of html stuff at the bottom of your "speech". Is that supposed to be there? Anyways, you have powerful diction here, but I think you're missing something. A lot of teenagers ARE moving to make a difference. A lot of young people ARE changing the world. Although I have no issues with your essay itself, I feel as though one has to realize that there will always be leaders... and there will always be the remaining masses. We can't all be leaders... then there is no order, only anarchy. But overall, I agree with what you're saying. Democracy is a government of the people. Without input or action from the people, democracy is nothing. You might as well just have a dictatorship. In my opinion, one easy thing that any young person to do, is just take part in government. No, this doesn't mean that you have to go and join a political party, help campaign, help raise money. It can just be as simple as asking someone else if he/she is going to vote. It can just be as simple as voting yourself (if you are old enough, of course). One doesn't have to devote his or her life to something to make a difference. Anyways, here I've gone and rambled on... and on... and on... well, you get the point. A well-written essay, if not so informal. I could really feel as if I am hearing you [the author], speaking the words out loud. |
