Reviews for Magicademy: Senior Year |

readingchameleon chapter 8 . 7/16/2017 Hey! This is the third read I'm doing of this story, and thought I'd write a quick comment. Every time I read this, I notice something different about it. Something different catches my attention, and as I grow and learn myself, I end up connecting different dots to those that I connected before. That's the mark of a good story right there. This time, it's the backstory of Naomi (or lack thereof). She never talks about it, but her relationship with Elisa speaks volumes about what it must have been like, and I feel sorry for her. Perhaps it is foolish to wish for another installment in this universe (especially considering the note at the end), so I'll ask for something else: Does anyone know of other stories I could read since I like this series so much? |
Pheonix92 chapter 32 . 8/8/2014 These other stories you've been getting published, could you send me a link to them? because if they are anything like this series, at least humor wise, then i would LOVE to read them. |
bleachedsnow chapter 32 . 1/6/2013 Whoa... just whoa. I somehow read all of Magicademy in a day, and I loved every bit of it. I'm gonna be starting college soon, so I've pretty much been on a reading binge on anything college related. If college turns out to be anything remotely similar to a Magicademy sans magic, I know I'll have nothing to worry about. The decision of having Elisa gay was a little shocking for me, but something that's easy to accept. This kind of thing happens, and Naomi's a seriously awesome chick. I was wondering if Daiiski meant what I thought it meant, and I'm happy that I was right after reading your last author's note. Aidis has been my favorite character, he's always really funny and I love his witty humor. I hope I'll meet a guy like him in college :D The ending of this story was really beautiful, if not a little bittersweet. Everyone's gonna split up and go their own separate ways, which while sad, is inevitable. The part with Aidis and Jacob at the end on the balcony really showed how far all of them had come, especially Jacob. And that bit with the howling built a sense of unity and camraderie among strangers, something that I always love seeing. The best part of the ending was that you didn't make seem like it was one. Sure everyone has moved on, but it's really just the beginning. There's a lot more that I want to say, but typing on this iPhone is agony heh. Don't know if you're reading this, but hope you're doing well, wherever you are. |
Glamour Addict chapter 32 . 11/12/2012 I cried when this was over, I didn't want it to end! I we could have read the wedding and all that jazz but awesome work! |
Racke chapter 32 . 6/4/2011 A wonderful end to a wonderful series. Truly a masterpiece of magic and friendship. ... That's pretty much all I can say. Good job with this, it really is amazing. |
Van Quatra chapter 32 . 10/21/2010 awesome, awesome just pure awesome, this is a review after reading all 3 of them. i very really enjoyed myself, great job |
Perverted Little Angel chapter 32 . 10/3/2009 Okay, okay, I give. I loved your story, both this one and the first, enough that I owe you a review finally, and one of your FAQ's inspired me. Now, in a list form: 1: You are wrong about one thing. Writing Dhai and Jacob's wedding is not a stretching. It would be a finalization of what they did after college, the culmination of all the work we saw them doing throughout college, so it would be appropriate, and I know I am not the only person who would think this. 2: YOU ROCK! This story is one of the best I have read in I don't know how long, because you are one of the writers on this site who created an almost realistic world that had thought and creativity put into it that, at least if you had even half of a reader's brain, you could easily follow. Please continue to put out new works on this site! I really need something good to read, and, if this story is any indication, whatever you write would have to be at least interesting. 3: Now, the reason I was inspired to write a review. You said not many people made comments on your anime reference's, and I would in this review if I remembered any, but I was copying and pasting this story (in case you had to take it down due to plagarization, as has been happening a lot lately, sadly,) I was rereading a little of it, and I came across the graduations chapter. I saw the referenc you made about Elisa's bro's play... Really? You chose that obscure of a reference? Please tell me you were hoping for a response to that, because i think that anything that brings attention to that game is genius, and worthy of very high praise! You, my friend, are a conisseur of great games, and my hat is off to your memory, because, even though that is one of my very favorite games, (hey, I am a sucker for romance), I don't even remember that part of the game, evne though it shows up in, in my opinion, the best game-ending of all time. I'm sorry for filling up your review list with my fanboydom, but that game just always makes me happy and Iam extremely pleased whenever I meet a fellow lover of that game. Anyway, just wanted you to know that you do still have fans, although I probably read Magicademy about two or three years ago, I am recently coming back to it. I finally man'd up and dove into a two-year degree with emphasis on english, so I suggested this site to one of my prof's, and I specifically suggested this story/series to her. I wanna make sure you are okay with her possibly using this for classes of some sort. Please contact me at if you have any objections, or to say yes. I told her I’d ask your permission first before I did anything with this story. Thank you, again, for giving me something to enjoy so much, and I wish you luck in your writing endeavors. I mean hey, so many of us on this site want to be writers, and only so few will succeed, so we gotta look out for each other, right? ZIDANExDAGGER FOR ALL TIME! |
randomimagination chapter 32 . 6/11/2009 This was deffinately a great story, the characters are all like totally relaxed but they still have depth to them, the series was great! I think it would be awesome if you could find someone to turn this into a comic! You are a great writer, but there were a few spots with spelling mistakes or whatev but it was still an amazing story. The thing I liked most was how you didn't have a main character, you wrote from everyone's (in the groups) point of view. I also love how you used traditional races (ie: elves, dwarves) added in some new ones and sorta combined races or got them off of video games, no offense. I loved this series, amazing, you are a great writer, now publish something! Haha, this was great thanks for a good read. |
SleepyGlasses chapter 32 . 2/27/2009 GREAT STORY! I just started reading it recently but I'm already in love with it. I can't believe it's over already T_T I'm going to miss reading about the adventures of jacob and aidis and everyone else but great story still! I hope you continue to write more amazing things. - Matt |
Kaat chapter 32 . 9/25/2008 Great story! |
Poetess111 chapter 32 . 9/11/2008 I just read the whole series... and it was awesome.. I read tons and find few stories as well developed as yours. I liked that there was no over arching plot/mystery/what not. I look forward to reading anything else that you come up with! |
DrummersEcho chapter 32 . 9/9/2008 Hai, I went through the whole story in the last week or so. I just wanted to thank you for writing and posting it. It's a wonderful story and while I am sad to see the characters go, I'm very happy with the way you ended things. It seems very appropriate. I guess I'll end this fluffy un-critique now cause it's somewhat pointless except to say thanks. OH, I do know someone who MAY just want to turn this into a comic strip with you. I'll *cough* force him to read it, and then email you when he loves it. Lots of luck in all your writing endeavors, Mandi |
sunnyjai chapter 1 . 8/21/2008 Awesome story! Great plot, this is soo going into my faves. |
Mya von Dor chapter 32 . 8/16/2008 That was awesome! And I agree, it was a perfect place to end it. :) Thanks for the great ride, and good luck with the writing career. :D |
For What Its Worth chapter 32 . 8/7/2008 I get that some things must end. particularly college stories. But if Aidis and Naomi are grad students, does that mean they are still going to be at college? The ending was nicely done, in any case. :) |
