i just read the first chapter and decided to review..i really like it and i think i will enjoy this story but something is really bothering me and its really not your story, its just the way people act back in the past. I mean stephen is a jerk as i believe people always have the choice to marry the person they love even if its sometimes really difficult to make and the way he is using her money and being a total jerk to her but i also find charlotte selfish and i knw i may sound evil but believe me i do feel pity for her she is lonely and people are constantly talking about her death but why did she force stephen into marrying her its wrong. And if they are so unhappy why cant they get divorced. So its not your story its just the stupid rule and regulations of our society that bothers me .. i just hope if you ever read my comment you will understand my ramblings.. P.s sorry for such a long comment aftr reading just a chapter but i dont why but their marriage reminds me of the loveless sham of a marriage of mr rochester in jane eyre and maxim and rebecca and i wrote all this stuff..

She's forgiving him too easily in my opinion. :(

This is one of the best arranged marriage fictions i've read in a long time so thank you for writing this very nice story.

All through the story the only thing that ran through my head was that stephen so does not deserve lottie, and i was all up for lottie to kick him at the backside and go ride out towards the sunset with some one who actually appreaciates her after Stephen falls in love with her, harsh? i know LOL, but you can't say he doesn't deserve it for all he did to her?

But i guess he's done everything to compensate for his misdoings, *sigh* i still hate him though, but eh if Lottie is happy :)

I just realised something, i've read few of your other stories but i have never hated any of the main guys, they were just too nice as an asshole could get (except Gerry, he was just an all round sweetheart:]) to ever hate them, but Stephen gosh! grr, i guess it's because of my resentment towards cheats, actually it IS because my hatred for cheats. I still can't believe it you know, she was meant to be his friend, and he knew he was betrothed to her, bastard, but eh? all well that ends well i guess.

Fred will have more people to play with now. :) Awesome story,... as usual. ;)
