So I found this story at 1:00 in the afternoon today, and I just finished it, AND I LOVED IT :] You're an excellent writer, and I would love to hear about this planned sequel :D :D
| Corrupt the Innocent chapter 1 . 5/29/2009
I loved this story. It was awesomely sad and it was amazing. Also I'm happy that Will and Stacey finally got the happy ending, especially after all th sh** they had to go through.

But I thought he was arrested! What happened?
| reader chapter 47 . 4/15/2009
I think it's unrealistic that after being brutally bashed by a baseball bat, he's well enough to leave that night, no matter how urgent. He shouldn't even be able to walk.
Now onto the next chapter

Okay the bastard needs to be placed into a mental institution for his wrong SICK thoughts.

| mavoi chapter 66 . 2/21/2009
Amazing story and plotline. Great characters. I love Alex and Stacy and Will. Gotta love Morris and Ed too. Tough job done very nicely. I am talking about the plot. It was a difficult subject matter. And although the story was long, not one second of it was boring. I cant praise it enough. You are an outstanding authoress. Thank you for sharing the story with us for free in fictionpress. The only thing that I have to complain is about the way in the end Will is totally butchering Stacy’s childhood and future career. I mean of course her dad did a nice job of botching her freedom and happiness, but now Will is treating her as if its all right for him to get a new car for his 30th birthday and its all right for her to get a baby for her 18th birthday. So now Stacy, the straight A talented student with an amazing voice is nothing but a plump stay-at-home mom! I hope in the sequel Stacy gets to do something about her own career. Goes to college and stuff. I really liked Will when he was helping her with everything and was concerned about her homework and college etc. Stacy is such a strong lovable person. Please don’t make her become a baby-bottle toting couch potato. Again, I love your story and am looking forward to the sequel.

This was a pretty good story, I enjoyed it. There were a couple of things that bothered me, though I they really aren't essential to the plot. First, that Alex's birth was so short. A mother's first child is almost always her longest birth; it can take quite a while. As she has more children, birthing becomes quicker and easier, but a first birth is generally long and painful, with very few exceptions. Second, that Alex (the baby) rejected her mother at first. In animals, there is a certain connection between a mother and child that has many known and unknown causes, such as scent, and other factors. The bond between mother and child is not just a figure of speech, but an actual attachment. Even in cases where the mother doesn't feel affection for the child, it still exists. In any case, it is much more likely that a child would reject its father at first than the mother, especially since the mother is a potential food source, which brings me to my final point. It has been proven time and time again that formula is really not a good option for a newborn, and that breastfeeding newborns does a world of good. Formula should only really be considered by mothers who are unable to properly feed their children. But really, those points are only because I'm a nerd who feels a need to have things scientifically correct, so don't mind me. I really enjoyed your story, and hope that you keep writing! I can't wait to read more of your work. :)

Hey, overall, very good story.
Just one tiny little thing. You said that when Will went to go take the baby to be weighed and whatever, they cut her umbilical cord. Well, generally, they do that as soon as the baby is born, because it's attached to the placenta or something like that.
And then the part that is left falls off in a few weeks.
Just thought, I'd inform you, or something...
Anyway, I really liked it. I think you wrote the story well, and Moulin Rouge, totally yayy!
Lots of luck with other writing pieces.
