Wow, so dramatic. I'm not sure if you intended this to be a one-shot or not, but I don't think it should be. More chapters about how she deals with the loss of her mother, or even a chapter where years have passed and she's a teenager looking back on the day her mother died. Either way, it was pretty good.

Really deep and touching. Are you going to leave this, or continue and make a story out of it? This would be a really great prolouge, and then in the later chapters you could sort of fast-foward to live a couple of years from then.
